Thank you to all of the wonderful people who have made my weekend such a joy! My talented students who performed beautifully this afternoon and on Friday evening, their families and friends who came out in support to enjoy their performances, Zachary who lit the stage, Oliver, Gabrielle, Yianni, and Cora who helped backstage and on box office, Steen and the The Phoenix Theatre. What a delightful way to end the semester. Enjoy your well deserved break!
Really proud of the performances from my students tonight at the Friday Midyear concert. What a fabulous bunch of creatives!
Congrats to all those wonderful performers who shared their stories through verse, prose and drama with us on stage at the Wollongong Eisteddfod last week.
So proud of every one of you for showing courage and resilience, and giving it your all.
It was such a pleasure to see the gains so many of you have made across the many areas of Speech and Drama, and even better to see the way you continued to support each other on and off the stage.
Thanks to the committee and volunteers of BlueScope WIN Wollongong Eisteddfod who work tirelessly to deliver such a valuable opportunity for our young people in the Arts in the Illawarra.
Many thanks also to our adjudicator Merryl Lloyd for her positive feedback and encouragement throughout the competition.
Now it’s onto our Midyear Showcase Concerts to finish up Term 2. What a celebration! 🎉🎉

Alice Through the Looking Glass first appeared in 1871 and was planned for our 2021 season to mark the 150th anniversary. Occurring on November 4th, Alice slips through a looking glass and finds herself part of a topsy turvey world of bizarre characters all playing a gigantic chess game with somewhat twisted rules.
Our production pay homage to the original setting and the time it was written while being completely truthful to the book, with new music written by renowned composer and Musical Director, David Piper (Wicked, Mary Poppins and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).
The whole family will enjoy this bonkers game of chess we play and the songs will have you tapping your toes!!
