This is impacting the delivery of some of our services.
We are working hard to prioritise essential care.
We will keep you updated as the situation progresses.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Doesn’t Need To Make Sense …
Here is my son sitting in a chair that has been thrown out and as I snapped this picture I wondered why is this so hard.
My son Cody is on the spectrum and has difficulty processing the fact that broken items or old items need to be thrown out.
He would like everything to remain the same forever perhaps.
It’s my job to explain and show him things can’t remain the same.
Everything will always be changing.
Even an old broken down chair which was once loved changes.
Cody’s older brother Justin moved out earlier this year that was a big change.
Is the chair any significance to Cody? I didn’t think so. We rarely used it honestly. It sat in a corner and basically deteriorated over the years.
How can an inanimate object which was rarely used hold such a personal struggle to let go?
As a mom living in this autism world with my son I have a long list of questions I’ve compiled throughout the years and some still have no answers.
It’s my job to be as understanding as I can, try to explain as best I can and patiently wait until it all sinks in. The reality is that everything must change and nothing ever remains the same forever.
An old worn out chair will need to be replaced.
One day I will no longer be here and in my place to help guide and love you another will step in.
I wish I could stop changes that cause you so much stress. I see you … almost hear your thoughts and questions as you look deeply into my eyes.
The young man that lives on the corner with a beautifully manicured lawn with parents who love him to the moon and back currently sitting in a chair on the curb because change is hard.
That young man is everything to me.
That young man is a kind loving soul.
That young man tries so hard every single day to be his best.
That young man was once my baby and why I am who I am today.
I am proud to be his mom and I will sit with him on an old broken down chair until he no longer needs me to.
It doesn’t need to make sense to us in the end. It just needs to be worked through in his time.
