It feels so good to know that our guests love their time at the house

Yeppoon supports local street spray artists, enjoy ever changing pieces adorning surf clubs, restaurant walls, toilet blocks, car parking buildings, cafes and alleyways around town. If you are a fan of the art form you’re going to want to keep your eyes peeled for some of the better hidden pieces.

Koorana Crocodile Farm is home to around 3,000 crocodiles and these big boys are impressive, seeing them fed during the tour you can appreciate how invisible they become even in shallow water close to the bank and how fast they move getting clear of the water. The tour focuses on the animals, and at the right time of year, you might also witness the egg collection process on the tour

Great Keppel and it’s an absolutely stunning spot to spend the day, and only a 30-minute ferry trip across from the mainland, it is probably the most affordable island on the Great Barrier Reef to visit.
The Hideaway Bistro offers typical family favourites including burgers, fish and chips, chicken wings or salads. There’s beer on tap, house wine and soft drinks and a barista who doesn’t appear to stop from when the ferry arrives in the morning until it leaves in the afternoon. It is a casual and relaxed space, no issue here wandering in from your morning’s snorkelling or after hiking to the lookout, it’s literally right off the sand with the most spectacular views out over the water.

Enjoy a day out at Rockhampton Heritage Village, this is great day out and the kids love stepping back in time at this friendly township museum showcasing the rich, colourful history of the Rockhampton district 1850 - 1950.
Ride the double deckers bus or old style fire truck, check out vintage vehicles, a hall of clocks, timber cutters camp, a blacksmith shop, homesteads and cottages, vintage machinery and a range of friendly farm animals.

Explore the Capricorn Caves and step back in time, hundreds of millions of years ago and discover an ancient world. From the outside, the Capricorn Caves seem pretty low-key, but step inside and you’ll learn an incredible amount about the history of the earth. Explore huge caves and winding passageways, learn about the coral reefs and jungle that once stood where you are and marvel at fossils.

Location, happy baristas and a darn good coffee…The Honey Bee Collective ticks the box’s with water views and a chill vibe. Pull up a blanket and a few cushions under the palm trees and look out to the Keppel Islands and sparkling water beyond.

Staying with little one? They will love the Kraken water playground with the safe zero-depth water spouts. The Kraken playground is a popular hangout for families enjoying a coffee in the shade while the kids cool off.

Calling foodies....Permaculture tours at High Valley Dawn Farm run on a Sunday morning at 9, there is no fee but a donation is appreciated. Bookings are essential and can be made online. Owner Ross and Judy who also Beaches Restaurant in Kemp Beach serving delicious local produce. @
