Hello Everyone I just wanted to update you all as to my absence the last few weeks.

On the 29th September my father sadly passed away after a long bout of ill health.

We said farewell to Dad in Bunbury WA our home town.
It was a beautiful private service at Dads request and a perfect send of to a private man.
I'll will miss you Dad Rest in Peace # # #

I'm back home in Yeppoon now, and as they say Life must go On .

SO Keep an eye on the page, I will have classes coming up soon and also hopefully some market dates for Christmas . 🎄 which is only 6 weeks away.!

Finally got round to making these pods. I've had the nursery rings for awhile now and was going to make teething rings with them but was unsure of the safety of the wood. I decided to turn them into pods for a baby nursery. You could place them above the change table and have all your creams and cotton wipes etc in them . I can make these in many different colours on a simple plain ring like the rust one in the last picture.
These are perfect for small plants or airplants. $35 for the plain ring $40 for the nursery rings

I'm happy to run one any day next week during the school holidays.

Installing my new creations. It's been awhile since I've made a mandala. I've always wanted take a set of 5 for myself after creating a set a few years ago back in Victoria for a customer. Finally I have the house to display them. I have another 2 small ones to make that will complete the set. The Large one is 60cm diameter to give you an idea of size and took 10 hours a good 6 -8 hours to make.

At this stage it's a double hat hanger class but as no booking yet I'm open to changing that to one of my other classes if you have already done the hat hanger.

Over the next few days I thought I would re post some of my creations from the start of my macrame journey back in Victoria. I was just venturing into macrame then and mainly making for friends and advertisingon the buy and sell pages.
My teaching started out as a request from some local ladies and from there Knotted by Nikki was created. Almost 5 years ago. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon and although I haven't been as busy this year I don't believe macrame has had its day just yet.
Have a scroll through my photos , Christmas is coming up and I'm available for custom orders.
I use beautiful Luxe Single String Cotton and triple strand cotton rope.

I do love black but it is really hard to photograph. It's a perfect colour for a hat hanger though.
It's been awhile since I've made a side x side hat hanger and I do love them.

My pattern for the lamp shade is coming together! If you've ever wondered why macrame can be quite expensive this is 170m of cotton and 5 hours of knotting already and I'm only half way there.

While I was in WA I also made this lamp shade for a friend who contacted me just before I left Yeppoon so I took all the materials over with me and made it at mums.
It's looks stunning on the lamp base.
Now I can add lamp shades to my repertoire!

Yesterday's "Feather" making class. This is a relaxing very easy class to attend. My 2 students opted to make a larger 5 feather hanging. Even though simple to make they are quite time consuming, so a little more combing out of the feathers to be done on these if they prefer a neater more perfect looking feather. But I have to say I actually quite like them the way they are !
