Trade Mission to Surinam!

On behalf of the Minister of Economic Affairs, Communications and Sustainable Development, H.E. Mr. Geoffrey Wever, we cordially invite all local companies with an interest in participating in a trade mission to Suriname. Specifically, we are reaching out to all local companies to gauge your interest in joining this trade mission.

The primary goal of this mission is to explore and leverage business opportunities across diverse industries. These include agriculture (focusing on bananas, to***co, and hot peppers), food and beverages (such as rice, fish, beer, and rum), chemicals (including pharmaceuticals, paints, and surface cleaners), construction (encompassing cement, iron, and aluminum structures), and wood-processing industries (like among others timber and furniture).

The Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI) through its unit Exprodesk, on behalf of the Minister of Economic Affairs, Communications and Sustainable Development, H.E. Mr. Geoffrey Wever and in collaboration with Fullstack Vision Foundation are launching the Project 'arubaverse.io' version 2.0 in San Nicolas.

The goal of the project "Arubaverse 2.0" is to advocate for computational thinking, Technology IQ, Web 3.0 within the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and professional community in Aruba as well as to provide accessible support for learning and skill development in the following pillars:
• Artificial Intelligence: Promote awareness of AI technologies and their potential to optimize processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation;
• Computing Systems: Promote understanding of computing systems and their practical applications, emphasizing how they can benefit SMEs and professionals;
• Networks: Advocate for the importance of networks and connectivity in driving business growth and enhancing communication and collaboration;
• Creating Media: Empower SMEs and professionals to effectively create and leverage digital media for marketing, branding, and communication purposes;
• Algorithms and Data Structures: Simplify complex concepts of algorithms and data structures, demonstrating their relevance in problem-solving and decision-making;
• Data and Information: Highlight the value of data-driven decision-making and offer guidance on managing and analyzing data for business insights;
• Impact of Technology: Advocate for responsible technology adoption, considering the societal, ethical, and economic implications for SMEs and professionals;
• Design and Development: Encourage user-centric design principles and development methodologies that enhance user experience and support business goals;
• Safety and Security: Raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity measures and best practices for protecting business data and digital assets;
• Effective Use of Tools: Provide guidance on selecting and utilizing technology tools that improve productivity, collaboration, and overall efficiency.

Free Zone Aruba (FZA) NV will close its existing office at Avenida Milio Croes 118-A, Dakota as of Friday, June 30, 2023.
Our new address will be Nieuwstraat 11 (diagonally opposite Djispie's Place in the main street).
We have attached its location.

Due to ongoing work with the renovation, our new office will not be accessible to visitors for the first 2 weeks of July.
So, please note that our office is therefore closed from July 1 to July 14. We apologize for any inconvenience.

However, we will remain reachable, and if a meeting is required, we will try to arrange an alternative meeting place during this period.
