Registration for Retreat Closes August 1, 2024.

Our retreat day has always been packed with lots of Reiki, energy healing-related practices, and games. We have arranged a welcome coffee/tea upon arrival, a break during the morning hours, a lunch with lots of varieties, and an afternoon break as well.

The retreat fee is $125 including all breaks and a delicious lunch. As a member in good standing, you can register immediately either in person or via online banking (details on our registration form in the link below). Members or non-members, who have not yet paid for their 2024 membership, are welcome to fill out a new membership form and sign our Codes of Ethics to be eligible for this retreat. Registration for the Annual Retreat closes on August 1, 2024. You can easily register and pay online. Complete this registration form, which has instructions for you to set up the Barbados Reiki Association in your online banking and pay online. There are also several options for in person payments of the BDS$125 registration fee.

Throw-back Tuesday: 10 years ago today we gave Reiki treatments to medical students in The University of the West Indies (UWI) Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Cave Hill Campus in Barbados. We also gave a presentation on how they could use Reiki to manage stress. They were very receptive.

Distance Reiki treatments are powerful

Last night the Association held its first face to face meeting since 2020. The meeting was held at the St Barnabas Church Hall. After a short self treatment, members sent healing to persons whose names they had placed in the Reiki basket. President, Petra Bellamy then updated members on the Board's plans, including the hosting of the annual Reiki Retreat in late September 2024 and the Holistic Health Fair in 2025. Volunteers for both planning committees are welcomed. A special presentation was made to Sharon Hurley Hall for her long years of work on the Association's website since she created it and for restoring and refreshing it recently. A gift was also presented to Sonia Johnson for assisting Sharon with the recent work on the website.
