Good clinical practice (GCP) is a global quality standard for conducting clinical trials that is provided by International Council for Harmonisation (ICH); an international body that defines a set of standards for clinical trials involving human subjects. It provides a framework of principles to ensure the safety of research participants as well as the integrity and validity of data. The course aimed at all involved in clinical research, will provide the researchers with the basic principles of GCP and how these principles can be applied practically in the research setting.

This event is part of the One Health Week at City University of Hong Kong and is open to everyone interested in knowing more about the experiences in the region regarding this transdisciplinary approach to tackling today's critical global health challenges.

আজ বিশ্ব যক্ষ্মা দিবস ২০২৩, যার প্রতিপাদ্য হলো, ‘হ্যাঁ! আমরা যক্ষ্মা নির্মূল করতে পারি!’

এইবছরের প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের জাতীয় যক্ষ্মা নিয়ন্ত্রণ কর্মসূচি ও আইসিডিডিআর,বি পরিচালিত ইউএসএআইডি’স অ্যালায়েন্স ফর কমব্যাটিং টিবি ইন বাংলাদেশ (এসিটিবি) কার্যক্রম সম্প্রতি যৌথভাবে একটি অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে।

অনুষ্ঠানে, আলোচনা সভায় শিরিন আখতার, এমপি, সুবর্ণা মুস্তাফা, এমপি, আরমা দত্ত, এমপি রাশেদ খান মেনন, এমপিসহ উপস্থিত আঠারো জন মাননীয় সংসদ সদস্য এবং অন্যান্য এমপিরা বার্তার মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশে যক্ষ্মা নির্মূলের লক্ষ্য অর্জনে রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দের সম্পৃক্ততা এবং অঙ্গীকারের প্রয়োজনীয়তার বিষয়ে একাত্মতা ঘোষণা করেন।

মাননীয় সংসদ সদস্য সুবর্ণা মুস্তাফা তার বক্তব্যে শিশুদের যক্ষারোগ নির্মূলে অভিভাবকদের সচেতন করার অঙ্গীকার জানান। আরমা দত্ত, এমপি, যক্ষ্মা নির্মূলে একটি পার্লামেন্টারি প্ল্যাটফর্মের প্রয়োজনীয়তার কথা তুলে ধরেন। শিরিন আক্তার, এমপি, সংসদ সদস্যদের রাজনৈতিক কাজের পাশাপাশি এই বিষয়ে সামাজিক উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের প্রতি জোর দেন।
