In addition, we delivered the 18 directives from the Honorable High Court, reinforcing the legal protections, healthcare, and mental health services that must be provided to r**e victims through a referral mechanism.

We are delighted to share that, our esteemed President, Tamima Nasrin, has been invited to participate in the South Asian Gender Trainers Network Program (AGenT) this October 2023. The program was hosted by the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in South Korea, this program promises an enriching experience.

The training covers a range of vital topics, including Human Rights, Women and Gender Studies, International Laws, and Country laws in the context of South Asia. A number of twenty participants from 10 South Asian countries, including gender advocates, development professionals, academia, activists, and UN personnel, have come together for this impactful initiative.

New Changemakers in the Town !

On the occasion of International Girl Child Day 2023 SheEqual has organized a Workshop Titled " অনলাইনে সচেতন থাকি, নিজেকে নিরাপদ রাখি " Stay Aware in Online, Keep yourself safe" at Yakubia Gils High School Bogura on 16th October, 2023.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child 2023, SheEqual has organized an empowering workshop titled "Be Aware in Online and Protect Yourself," at Yakubia Girls' High School in Bogura 16th October, 2023.

This initiative was supported by Rescue Our People Ever (ROPE), aimed to equip students with the tools to prevent cyberbullying and online harassment. This event was witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around five hundred students and learned about the aforesaid topics.

🎤 In addition, this program was enlightened by the presence of Hasibur Rahman Bilu, Chief Journalist of Independent Television's North Bengal, Women and Children Help Desk Officer Jebunnessa from Bogura Sadar Police Station, and development professional Tahmina Parveen, Headmaster Shahadat Hossain, alongside the dedicated teaching staff, and volunteers of SheEqual were added valuable insights to the discussion.
Furthermore, the workshop focused on the discussion of the definition and causes of cyberbullying, harassment, legal recourse available, and how social media often makes young individuals susceptible to various crimes. It also emphasized the importance of understanding why youth are at risk of cyberbullying and explored effective remedies. Needless to say, some important leaflets and brochures are given to the students for increasing their knowledge on these specific fields.

Celebrating International Girls Child Day 2023

SheEqual, in collaboration with Sadar Police Station Bogura, organized an awareness session at Government Girls School, Bogura, to empower and protect our girls.

In this event, discussions were focused on preventing child marriage, tackling sexual harassment, and addressing cyber harassment. Valuable information was shared on taking action and reporting incidents.

In addtion, a total number of 150 students attended, gaining vital knowledge to stay safe and empowered.

Furthermore, this event was enlightened by the presence of Chief Guest Sumon Ronjon Sharker, Additional Police Super (Traffic), Focal Point officer, Bangladesh Women Network, Bogura District, special guest Md. Saihan Oliullah, Officer in Charge, Sadar Police Station Bogura.

Besides, the session was chaired by Mamunur Rashid, head Teacher , Government Girls School, Bogura. Also Jebunnesa, SI, Women Help Desk, Bogura, and dedicated SheEqual volunteers were present there.

On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, we celebrate girls' courage, leadership, and strength by saying, "Empower Her, Transform the World."

We will dismantle barriers, amplify voices, and make sure that every girl has the ability to determine her own future. Promote equality because, by empowering her, we also empower the rest of the World.

Under the Youth Engagement in Democracy Project, SheEqual had the honor of participating in a crucial meeting to review the National Youth Policy of 2017, a pivotal document shaping the future of our youth.

A big shoutout to MANUSHER JONNO FOUNDATION for hosting us at Chuti Resort Gazipur on September 27th, 2023. We, along with youth representative from 14 organizations started by exploring the policy's vision, mission, and objectives. Then, we dove into a comprehensive review of the 194 clauses in the 'Youth Development' section.

Together, we're shaping a better future for our youth!

We had an incredible experience attending the virtual meeting organized by Accountability Lab Nepal on September 29, 2023!

Connecting with Bangladeshi and Nepalese youth was a fantastic opportunity to learn about each other's work, experiences, and thoughts. It was an absolute honor , SheEqual's Founder Tamima Nasrin was invited by the UN Volunteers Capacity Development Team to share her experiences and insights as a resource person in a recent workshop.

This Workshop includes a series of small group sessions, She had the privilege of engaging with 25 young professionals who are embarking on their journeys as UN Volunteers, ready to make a positive impact across the globe.

Furthermore, She had the opportunity to share her volunteer experiences and offer suggestions to empower these young minds in their UN Volunteer journey. It was inspiring to witness their enthusiasm and commitment to contributing to the work of various UN entities worldwide.
