Today is March 22, World Water Day.

The objective of observing this day is to raise awareness about the importance of water. The other goal is to inform people to conserve water.

This year's theme of World Water Day is “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”. The importance of groundwater in the development of our civilization is immense and its rapid depletion is leading us to a grisly future. Organisations working in various environmental sector can play a vital role to educate people of this depleting resource.

We believe, a small step as an individual can contribute to a greater conservation of water, specially groundwater. A small change in our everday life can reduce the stress on water scarcity and constant depletion of water.

New achievement for DEVISE. Its Smart Water Solutions will GREEN the superb Suburbs of Athens.

We proudly announce that DEVISE will design, construct and commission a Packaged WWTP using DEVISE “Ultra-Clear” MBR technology for the new innovative urban development project of “Faliro”. The wastewater will be taken from the main sewerage pipeline of the City of Athens and will be extensively treated so that the effluent will be used for irrigation purposes of the newly created green landscape of coastal Athens Municipality.

Esource Enterprise has recently completed installation, testing and commissioning of a 25 m3/day Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Bangladesh Supreme Court.
The main purpose of this water treatment plant is to remove excess iron from the source water. The treated water will be supplied to the newly constructed annex extension building.
The project will be handed over to the client next week.

Mr. David M Khan will conduct several sessions of the training on Integrated Water Systems of Buildings. His sessions will cover the basic principles, water supply systems and a case study.
Mr. Khan is an internationally experienced engineer specializing in Water Resources Management and modelling including planning, analysis and design of water distribution systems. He has 18 years of experience in the design and implementation of important water infrastructure projects. Recently, Mr. Khan has successfully completed projects related to the design and construction of water supply networks and resorts.
Mr. Khan also worked in several projects to help develop water supply systems of commercial structures. He also has specific expertise in mathematical modelling of water supply networks and lead the modelling design team of ADB funded DWSSDP project. His experience covers both working in developing country like Bangladesh and developed country like the USA, UAE, and Kuwait.
Mr. Khan completed his Master of Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (USA) in and previously he completed his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is a licensed professional engineer with the State of Texas, USA

Dr. Asif M Zaman will conduct the 6th session of the training on Treatment Plants required for building systems. His session will cover different types of treatment methods for water and wastewater. He will also cover the requirements for LEED certification of a green building.

Dr. Zaman is highly skilled in diversified fields of Environmental Engineering. He has international working experience in environmental audits and impact assessments, water resources planning and management, irrigation, urban flooding and water supply.

He also has specific expertise in treatment plant design, environmental risk assessments as well as preparation of training guidelines/manuals. He has completed many EIA, SIA, IEE, EMP studies for water related infrastructures required by Department of Environment (DoE) and also by development agencies like the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). To date, he has more than 20 technical publications with 19 years of diversified experience in the UK, Australia, India, Malaysia and Bangladesh.

Dr. Zaman has completed his PhD in Water Resources Management from University of Melbourne and Master of Engineering (Environmental and Earth Resources Engineering) from Imperial College, London.
