Story of GM Vespa
The initiative started by restoring a 1961’s “Italian Piaggio VBB” Vespa of our shop owner Mr. Sajib Islam’s father ‘Mr. Golam Mohammad’. As many other Vespa’s in our country this Vespa was also unattended & neglected for many years.
Mr. Golam Mohammad used to ride the Vespa to his work at young age & our shop owner Mr. Sajib Islam describes to have fond memories of, “when he used to ride the Vespa on his father’s lap as a kid.” our shop owner Mr. Sajib Islam sees The Vespa as a monument of his fathers youth.
Mr. Sajib Islam felt the urge to revive the old soul and took it as a challenge to surprise his father by restoring it. So, Mr. Sajib Islam started working on it & many people lend their hands to help him doing so. Among them Mr. Badsha from Bongshal “LB Vespa Workshop” helped him a great deal through out the whole project. Without help from ‘Mr. Badsha’ it was almost impossible for Mr. Sajib Islam to restore the Vespa. Finally Mr. Sajib Islam was able to successfully restore the Vespa back to its old glory.
Mr. Golam Mohammad was so happy & proud that his younger son Mr. Sajib Islam restored his old love and put it back in his hand. Mr. Sajib Islam restored The Vespa as a token of love from him to his father but he felt so contented that day, thinking that - he had reunited two best friends (Mr. Golam Mohammad & his Vespa) after a decade.
