1. The Hagia Sophia is 1,483 years old. It was built in 537.
2. Nothing of the Hagia Sophia's original structure remains today.
3. It has been destroyed and rebuilt over 8 times.

5. It was a church and Roman Catholic cathedral before it became a mosque.
6. It was only converted into a mosque in the 15th-century.

8. In July 2020, it was reconverted into a masque whereby Muslim prayers have been held for the first time in 86 years.
