Change in Assessment Module for Group 2 of IOELL:

The Participants will participate in an interactive session with Dr. Marshall G. Jones and Mary O’Grady Jones from USA at 10.00 AM tomorrow (2 July, 2023). The students will interact with the speakers and also encouraged to write notes to the speakers if they wish to say something or ask something. Their speaking communications and their critical thinking skills in writing notes will be assessed.

See you all at Day 1 of the International Olympiad on Empowerment, Language & Leadership (IOELL) 2023.

The topics for Speaking Session of Group 2 are announced. The participants are requested to prepare their speech on these topics. They will be asked to speak about one of the following topics. The judgement panel will ask followup questions based on the speech of the students. The students will have ro provide extempore speech on the tooic. Reading from a script is strongly discouraged.

SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF IOELL 2023!

1. Ice breaking session is basically judges getting introduced with the students and talking about the Olympiad and the theme of the Olympiad in general.

2. Case study and open thinking sessions are quiz based on climate change. The syllabus or the areas from which questions will be set are mentioned in the Official website of IOELL.

3. Topic announcement is only applicable for participants from Group 3 and 4. For group 3, students will be grouped with their international counterparts and they will be given white poster papers along with marker pens. They will collaborate and create a poster presentation based on the given topic on day 1 and present them during Speaking Session of day 2. For group 4, the students will be grouped randomly with their international teammates and they will have to prepare a PowerPoint Presentation on the given topic during Speaking Session on Day 1.

4. All participants will join the Yoga Session, it will be some breathing exercises and some basic activities.

5. Lecture on Climate Change will be a special session where participants will have to listen to a lecture on climate change and then they will have to answer questions based on the lecture.

6. Assessments for Speaking session of Group 1 and 2 are mentioned in the official website of IOELL. Speaking session for Group 3 and 4 are mentioned above.
