📣📣 Any interested students of BUFT can participate. The first three best models will be awarded at the event.

Hard copies of the forms are available at the University's front desk And after filling the form should be submitted to the front desk of BUFT.

Nafisa Sadaf , a final year student of Fashion design and Technology department from BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) became the champion in NSDC ( National Skill Development Competition, Bangladesh. She will be the first one from Bangladesh who will participate in World Skill Competition in Kazan,Russia 2019 . We are so pleased to see her accomplishing such great things and representing our University and country in such a honorable way.
A heartfelt congratulations to her and wishes for her next adventure.

Shaheda from Bangladesh presents her collection based on CITY RUSH. The concept portrays the SPEED, RUSH,LINE and LIGHT of the busy city Dhaka. The collection is developed using the color medium Black and White to define night and light. The embellishments made of sequins and stone work emphasizes the light feel on garments and the lines to indicate the rush.

Nakshi Kantha is a folk art of Bengal. Some old kantha of the 19th century has portrait design, which have that stitching proficiency which are excellently innovative. The collection is inspired by the very same folk art through its motifs of nakshi kantha into shibori dye by hand stitching. This folk art represents the “Tradition of Contexture” women’s wear collection of Farjana Akther from Bangladesh.

Ancient Diva (Mysterious queen). “In ancient period, there were a lot of beautiful silhouettes for costumes and amazing surface ornamentation. A lot of famous artist showed them in their art work. We feel great to see those amazing art works. But in those paintings or in sculptures, their expressions are mysterious as like we can’t say that they are happy or sad at once. We can see those beautiful costumes but we don’t know actually whats happening in their mind. It’s not only this art works story, it’s a true story for all of us.
