Our Story

HAVAL SUVs have been designed by leading automotive designer Pierre LeClercq, ex head of BMW design team, and and engineered by Toyota-Lexus ex Chief Engineer Suguya Fukusato following the latest global design trends.

In 2017 Brand Finance valued HAVAL as the "world's most powerful SUV brand" ahead of Jeep and Land Rover. With over 4 million customers, last year HAVAL was the world’s 10th largest SUV manufacturer outselling Mercedes, BMW and Mitsubishi SUVs. The vehicles are well proportioned, have a strong street presence and a sense of balance and poise. Our interiors are beautifully designed, with ergonomics, visual and tactile appeal being our priorities. We use a combination of materials and textures that excite the senses and create an air of understated elegance and quality, such as French double stitching leather seats, Audi inspired gear console and All-Terrain control system used in Ford.

Recently HAVAL Motors has appointed Phil Simmons as their new global Design Director and VP. Phil was previously the Design Director for Land Rover where he led the creation of the 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, 2017 Range Rover Velar and 2016 Range Rover Evoque, Discovery and Discovery Sport.
