Atish Dipankar University Business club is the first club of the university with the goal to promote leadership and entrepreneurship of ingenious students. The Club works with the all phases of business to demonstrate and practice the professional, leadership as well as management skills of the students under the proficient supervision of impeccably competent moderators. In order to introduce the
students to practical work field, ADUSTBC organizes many events, seminars and competitions. ADUSTBC works on organizing training/grooming programs for students about presentations, excel, career talk, business competitions etc. The significant events of Atish Dipankar University business club are:
Power Presenter, Excel Training Program, Career Clinic, Competition Courses, “BriefCase” an Intra University Business Competition. Apart from all these educational events business club also arranges yearly expeditions for its members and university students. Some of the programs that ADUSTBC have organized are as follows:
•Career Clinic: The Career Clinic program was designed to familiarize students with the reality of recruitment in the corporate world. Through a series of workshops, corporate icons all around the country attended this program to bring into light the issues that business talents should consider when applying for a job in any kind of organization. Along with the workshops, the program also consisted of a mock interview session to acquaint students with the real life interviews. ADUSTBC will be hosting this event every year.
•BriefCase: ADUSTBC had launched BriefCase, an intra university business sales competition with the aim of improving students' business communication, persuasion, confidence and slide making abilities by testing them through the world of Sales. Starting all the way from case solving, instant presentation and idea pitching, BriefCase consisted of four exciting and challenging rounds. With the success of BriefCase, ADUSTBC plans to arrange this competition every year with much bigger platforms for students.
•The Competition Courses: As the name suggests, this program deals all about competition. Through a series of workshops, The Competition Courses aims at encouraging students for active participation in business competitions. It focuses on dealing with students’ fear of participating, lack of motivation, handling the nervousness and pressure as well as efficiently solving the cases which are central to the problem of people not applying in these competitions. Through this program, ADUSTBC plans in training and grooming its finest students so that they are ready not only to face the competitions but also real life business problems when facing the “real corporate world”.
•Certified Training Workshop on MS Excel: Every semester ADUSTBC organizes this workshop to help students develop their skills on MS Excel. This workshop has been conducted to introduce students to the practical job life, to enhance their knowledge and to resurrect them from their busy student life. Efficient corporate people from all over the country join this event as trainers and work with ADUSTBC to help spread the knowledge.
•Power Presenter: The Power Presenter, as its name suggest, was an inter-departmental competition designed to allow students to demonstrate their presentation skills. Through Power Presenter, ADUSTBC tried to reach out to those young and fresh minds to develop and demonstrate their presentation abilities by challenging them through a rigorous contest comprising of multiple rounds and evaluating them through both internal and external judges. The competition consisted of three sequential rounds.
