🔹 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜/𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙐𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨: In our latest update, we’ve made the Chromecasting/Screen Mirroring feature easily accessible from within our Video Conferencing Android mobile app. You can access this feature easily by simply clicking the Chromecast button located in the side-menu. Although casting directly from within the app isn’t yet supported, we’ve found a great work around! By clicking the Chromecast button, you’ll be redirected to perform the necessary casting operations.
🔹 ‘𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙠’ 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩: If you’re a web app user, there’s some good improvements to look out for. First, there’s a burger menu on each video frame. If you’re the organizer - or a user with special permissions - this means you’re able to manage other users. In addition to the burger menu, there’s a new Push to Talk feature giving you much more control over background audio during your meeting. It’s a feature you’ll love if you or others are in a noisy setting - or if there’s an echo because you’re too close to other conference participants - as it mutes the background noise until the spacebar button is pressed to speak. You can enable it from within the settings area.

You can also use custom shapes, for example arrows or circles, to highlight your most important information while presenting a PDF to others. If you do try to use the whiteboard feature with an older version of the app you’ll get a notification asking you to update manually before continuing.

Reliable data - ranging from calls and chats, to queues and ring groups right down to your individual Agents’ performance - offers business insights in an improved, more user friendly format. Just as a reminder, you need to be a manager or an owner to have access. By taking reports off the Management Console it can be further locked down to the IP of the Admin only, and in doing so becomes ever more secure - in keeping with the commitments laid out in our Security Charter ‘EFTA’.

What is 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 in 3CX❓
🔵 With the introduction of IP handsets supporting the SBC software service, 3CX deployments are even easier. 3CX setup is now accessible to everyone, no matter your technical expertise. By setting up a router phone, a separate piece of hardware on the network is no longer required. This saves on costs and cuts configuration time.
🔵 All call traffic between IP phones running via a router phone, is kept local. This cuts down on the bandwidth required, as traffic isn't going up to the 3CX and back again.
🔵 By deploying a router phone to your remote location, you can connect up to 10 handsets that can proxy or ‘sit behind’ the router phone. However, due to IP phone hardware limitations, if more than 10 handsets are required, we’d recommend you deploy a stand-alone SBC machine.
…and before you ask, yes, the router phone can also be used as a user's handset!
