Buddy Up

All religions in Malaysia including Islam do not teach or encourage their followers to be bullies. On the other hand, the nature of love, respect and helping needs to be in everyone's identity and it needs to be nurtured from childhood.

The word of Allah SWT in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11 which means: "O you who believe! Don't let one race mock another race, because it may be that the one being mocked is better than the one who is mocking and neither are women mocking other women, because it is possible that the women being mocked are better than the women who are mocking." This verse clearly prohibits us from disrespecting one another because we will not get any benefit from that act.

Incidents of bullying still occur in our society, especially in schools. How do these young people know to bully and be aggressive towards victims? The question is for all of us as members of society who influence their lifestyle.
