*The Most Important Actions In Ramadhan*

When you think of the most rewarding deeds you can do in Ramdhan to get closer to Allah, what do you think?

Reading a lot of the Quran?

Giving out so much in charity?

Standing for a large part of the night praying and making dua?

These are certainly highly encouraged actions, but, there is something!

If you look at all of these actions, you will realize that none of them is actually a compulosry action; they're all supererog*tory.

```And Allah says, "My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than (performing) the things I have made oblig*tory on him"```

*You must strive to get closer to Allah through the right door that He has recommended, that is, by first performing the Oblig*tory Actions!*

So, before you think, Qur'an, charity, standing throughout the night, think of perfecting and rectifying things Allah has made compulsory upon you.

Think of the rights of your husband, are you giving it? The rights of your wife, are you giving it?

Think of your dressing, are you using the proper jilbaab? Is your Jilbaab serving the actual purpose of concealing you or it itself is an attractive and beautifully designed piece of clothe that draws attention?

Think about your parents, your children, your extended family members, are you fulfilling their rights?

These are things that are compulsory, and By Allah, if you're deficient in one of these, that you focus on rectifying it is better for you than only focusing on reading the Quran and doing a lot of charity works.

Wishing us all Ramadan Mubarak..May Allah accept all of our ibadah this month and beyond Ameen...
