After 3 excruciating years of not releasing music (then tacking on an extra week), I understand the phrase: "God works in mysterious ways."

Although I'm often isolated and confused as to why it seems I'm always being held back from my dreams, I realize maybe it isn't that I'm being 'held back' but more 'saved'. During my 3 year break, I unconsciously grew and reconnected with things I was underappreciating and overlooking because I was too preoccupied with such nonsense.

I will always love music and work hard toward my goal, but I'm done risking who I am for it. This industry has taken too many good people, but it won't fool me.

Who thought that being grounded would make you feel you've reached such impossible new heights?

**This setback is quite symbolic cause it's exactly what the song is about; facing obstacle after obstacle but choosing to overcome them and keep pushing through no matter what gets thrown your way 💪

For those who have been consistently supporting me, you probably noticed I've been on a very long, frustrating, unwanted music break. Truth is, it's not a beautiful journey. Yes, there's beauty in following your dreams, but you come across more evils than anything else.

You learn a lot about yourself when you are face to face for years with temptation, betrayal, unjustified hate, and fakeness, all for the dream you fell in love with at a young age. You become willing to tolerate 90% torture for the 10% pleasure.
