10 years ago, an aspiring group of leaders envisioned to create something, to aspire the future leaders of the University, and to practice foster diplomacy in Rajshahi University campus. Thus, the Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) was born. Today, Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association is celebrating a decade of dexterity. The organisation has been a shining example of excellence, creation of awareness and developing future leaders. RUMUNA has played an important role in inspiring change-makers, empowering voices, unitng cultures, and developing diplomats. In 2013, a vision was born at Rajshahi University. A vision to inspire young minds, foster diplomacy, and shape the leaders of tomorrow. A group of young leaders came together and established the Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association - RUMUNA. For the past decade, RUMUNA has organized numerous events and participated in numerous Model United Nations conferences. After establishing the club, we became the co-organizer of UNYSAB MUN 2014. Subsequently, in 2015, we hosted the North Bengal Model United Nations as the exclusive organizer for the first time. In 2016, we proudly hosted our first National Model United Nations Conference. Year after year, we continued to organize the National Model United Nations Conference every year. In 2022, we organized our 6th edition of RUMUM. Every year, we organize Intra MUN, National MUN, PowerPoint Presentation competitions, Writing Competitions, and many more. May RUMUNA continue to achieve glorious success and progress. Here is a sneak preview of RUMUN 2022, the sixth conference in the RUMUN series. The event of the year with the theme of “Safeguarding Peace Through Liquidating Global Insecurities and Upholding Trans-border Fraternity” with the following tagline: #Security_Is_Priority In this conference, we hosted eight committees taking into account the need to increase border security, security of women's property rights, security from natural disaster, security of sustainable trade, security of digital currency, and recognition of the role of the press in maintaining international peace. The delegates took part in lively committee session and learnt from the loftiest executive board members in the circuit. We hope the participants will remember this experience and decorate the forthcoming MUN conference and contribute to its success by their presence.
