Eid Al Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is one of the most significant celebrations in Islam. It symbolizes the ultimate devotion and submission to Allah. The Feast of Sacrifice dates back to the historic event when Prophet Ibrahim was commanded by Allah, in a dream vision, to sacrifice his son, Ishmael. This tradition has been passed down to us from Prophet Ibrahim.

We are delighted to announce that Jannatul Maoya Prova received the Special Mention Delegate II Award from the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), and Abdur Rouf Mujahid receive Verbal Mention in the ECNEC Committee.

We would also like to appreciate the efforts of Momotarina Toma, who served as the Campus Envoy of Rajshahi University.

The RUMUNA family is overwhelmed by their achievements. Additionally, we would like to mention that Fida Ul Huq, former General Secretary of RUMUNA, served as the Chairperson in the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), and Dewan Badhon, Vice President of RUMUNA, served as the Director in the same committee.

World Environment Day, celebrated annually on June 5th, promotes awareness and action for environmental protection. First held in 1973, it has been a platform for raising awareness on environmental issues as marine pollution, overpopulation, global warming, sustainable development and wildlife crime.

This year’s World Environment Day campaign focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are .” The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted the 2024 World Environment Day global celebrations.

The International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, observed on May 29, is an international day to honor the men and women who have served and are currently serving in United Nations peacekeeping missions. This International Day honors over 4,000 blue helmets who have lost their lives serving for peace. The first UN peacekeeping mission was established on 29 May 1948, when the Security Council authorized the deployment of a small number of UN military observers to the Middle East to form the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) to monitor the Armistice Agreement between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

The theme of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2024 is "Fit for the future, building better together”. On this day like other UN countries, RUMUNA also cherishes the peace of the world!

The newly formed governing body of Rajshahi University Model United nations association met with the honorable Proctor of Rajshahi University, Professor Dr Asabul Haque.

Our President, Vice President, Organizing Secretary, Deputy Directors, and members, representing the new governing body of RUMUNA, engaged in fruitful discussions. We have discussed our vision and mission as well as our regular club activities with honorable Proctor sir. Buddha's Birthday, also known as Buddha Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, and Buddha Pournami, is a cherished Buddhist festival celebrated worldwide. It honors the birth of Prince Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Gautama Buddha and founded Buddhism. Born around 623 BC in Lumbini, modern-day Nepal, Prince Siddhartha experienced a profound journey that led to his enlightenment, known as nirvana. On the day of the festival, Devotees visit Buddhist monastery, recite Buddhist scriptures and take part in religious discussions and group meditations.

On this holy day, Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) wishes to the best of the day and may Buddhists all around the country commemorate it in several great ways. Happy Buddha Purnima!

On 14th May 2024, the newly formed Governing Body Members (2023-2024) of the Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) met with the honorable Advisor of RUMUNA, Assistant Professor Hemanta Kumar Bhadra, from the Department of Banking and Insurance, University of Rajshahi.

Our new President, Vice President, directors, deputy directors and members, representing the new governing body of RUMUNA, had a productive meeting with our esteemed advisor. During the visit, he expressed his appreciation for our past initiatives and provided valuable advice for our future endeavors. He commended the dedication and hard work of the previous committee and encouraged the new team to continue striving for excellence. May Day, also known as International Workers' Day or Labour Day, is observed on May 1st every year. It is a day dedicated to honoring and celebrating the contributions of workers and the labor movement worldwide.
May Day is a reminder of the struggles and victories of workers throughout history. It's a day to stand together in solidarity, advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for every worker's rights.

আজ ১ লা বৈশাখ,১৪৩১; বাঙালি জাতির ঐতিহ্যবাহী বাংলা নববর্ষ । ধর্ম, বর্ণ নির্বিশেষে যুগ যুগ ধরে বাঙালি জাতি এই উৎসব পালন করে আসছে।
কৃষিকাজ ও খাজনা আদায়ের সুবিধার জন্য মোঘল সম্রাট আকবরের সময়ে বাংলা সন গণনার শুরু হয়। হিজরি চান্দ্র বৎসর ও বাংলা সৌর সনের ওপর ভিত্তি করে প্রবর্তিত হয় নতুন এই বাংলা সন।

হালখাতা, নাচ-গান, মঙ্গোল শুভযাত্রা ও নানা রকম উৎসবে বাঙালিরা বাংলা নববর্ষকে বরণ করে নেয়। নববর্ষকে ঘিরে দেশের গ্রামে-গঞ্জে মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই মেলায় পুতুল নাচ, সার্কাস, নাগরদোলা স্থান পায়।কোথাও কোথাও পহেলা বৈশাখ উপলক্ষে নৌকা বাইচ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

নতুন বছরে তোমার সমস্ত প্রত্যাশা,স্বপ্ন গুলি পূর্ণ হোক, সত্যি হোক, এই বছর কাটুক ভালো তোমার এবং তোমার পরিবারের সকল সদস্যের। রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ছায়া জাতিসংঘ সংস্থা (আরইউমুনা) এর পক্ষ থেকে সকলকে জানাই শুভ নববর্ষ!

Eid-Al-Fitr, the festival of breaking fast that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, brings happiness and celebration. The night on which the moon is sighted is celebrated as Chand Raat. Eid-al-Fitr begins the first sighting of the crescent moon.

Eid -Al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims around the world. It is the time of happiness, joyous, forgiveness, prayers, and the family members come together.

আজ ২৬শে মার্চ, বাংলাদেশের ৫৪তম মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস ও জাতীয় দিবস। ১৯৭১ সালের ২৬ মার্চের প্রথম প্রহরে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান সর্বশক্তি দিয়ে হানাদার বাহিনীকে প্রতিরোধ ও চূড়ান্ত বিজয় অর্জিত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত লড়াই চালিয়ে যাওয়ার ডাক দিয়েছিলেন।

পাকিস্তানি ঘাতক সেনাবাহিনী ২৫ মার্চ রাতে যখন রাজধানীতে এক নৃশংস গণহত্যায় মেতে ওঠে, তখন ধানমন্ডির ৩২ নম্বরে নিজ বাসায় গ্রেপ্তার হওয়ার আগমুহূর্তে বঙ্গবন্ধু বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা ঘোষণা করে একটি বার্তা পাঠান। বার্তায় তিনি বলেছিলেন, ‘'এটাই হয়ত আমার শেষ বার্তা, আজ থেকে বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন। আমি বাংলাদেশের মানুষকে আহ্বান জানাই, আপনারা যেখানেই থাকুন, আপনাদের সর্বস্ব দিয়ে দখলদার সেনাবাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে শেষ পর্যন্ত প্রতিরোধ চালিয়ে যান।' এরপর ৯ মাসের রক্তক্ষয়ী মুক্তিযুদ্ধের মাধ্যমে লাখো শহীদের রক্ত ও বিরাঙ্গনাদের ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা অর্জিত হয়।

আজকের দিনে রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ছায়া জাতিসংঘ সংস্থা (আরইউমুনা) মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সকল বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের গভীর শ্রদ্ধায় স্মরণ করছে । সবাইকে রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ছায়া জাতিসংঘ সংস্থার (আরইউমুনা) পক্ষ থেকে জানাই মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবসের বিশেষ শুভেচ্ছা!

Extending sincere congratulations to Fahimul Islam Khan Rafi for being elected as the Chairman of the Trustee Board of the Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association. Gathering under the sacred canopy of religious sanctity, Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association alongside its general members, junior executives, executives, new governing body members, and esteemed alumni, orchestrated an enlightening Iftar Mahfil, honoring the observance and celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) has experienced a year of sublime glory during the tenure of the 2022-2023 Governing Body.

Throughout this journey, the team has demonstrated resilience, navigating through ups and downs while consistently moving forward. Their commitment to progress has yielded numerous achievements, reflecting the remarkable success of RUMUNA under their leadership.

Their commitment to excellence is further highlighted by the successful ex*****on of various events. Noteworthy among these accomplishments are the Day Long MUN, the Intra Position Paper Competition, North Bengal Model United Nations 2023, and the flagship conference, Rajshahi University Model United Nations 2023. The celebration of United Nations Day during this event was marked by a tree plantation initiative within the Rajshahi University premises.

As we express gratitude for the tremendous efforts of this committee over the past year, it is evident that their journey is not yet complete. We are grateful to the committee of 2022-2023 and thank them for the memories they have given us.

The most sacred month has begun! Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, provides a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their minds, bodies, hearts, and souls through fasting and prayer to Almighty Allah. Every year, Muslims worldwide come together to fast and perform Tarawih prayers.

This Ramadan, let's bring joy to the faces of those who are struggling to have Sehri or lack food to break their fasts. Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) wishes everyone a blessed Ramadan filled with inspiration, courage, strength, and happiness to overcome life's challenges. Today, we celebrate this day for women who are fighting for their rights and for those facing challenges in societies where they can't fully use their talents. We believe that one day, these women will break free from these challenges and create a world where fairness is important for everyone.

International Women's Day is also known as the United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace. It's a day about coming together, celebrating, thinking about things, speaking up, and doing things to make the world better, both globally and locally.

Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA) supports all the legal activities that make sure women everywhere have the same rights as men. Let's work towards a world where every woman can shine, and we support actions that help make that happen.

On the night of 29th february,flames engulfed the once-thriving landscape of baily road claiming around 46 lives ,leaving behind a haunting reminder of infrastructural fragility that demands national attention.

From Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association , we are deeply saddened by this tragedy. We encourage greater implementation in fire safety measures and codes across all establishments. Our hearts go out to those affected, and we pray and urge for swift recovery and solace during this trying time.
