Residing under the umbrella of FBCCI Impact 4.0 (2020) launched by the current FBCCI board, Technology Center (Tech C) is an initiative to advance technology’s role in strengthening business (CSMSEs) and startups by leveraging tech The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) is the exclusive umbrella trade organization of Bangladesh representing MSMEs to the largest sect
ors of our country. This year marks the 100th birth centenary of our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangladesh is moving towards developed nation based on his foundation spearheaded by visionary Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Aligned with Bangladesh’s development trajectory, the present FBCCI board launched FBCCI 2041 Impact 4.0 Initiative; with goals on LDC graduation, ease of doing business and SDG targets. It takes a 360° approach to our engagements in social, cultural, sports, education and philanthropic initiatives in addition to our advocacy role. Residing under the umbrella of FBCCI Impact 4.0 (2020) launched by the current FBCCI board, Technology Center (Tech C) is an initiative of the apex trade body to advance technology’s role in strengthening business (CSMSEs) and startups by leveraging tech innovations that drive economic growth in Bangladesh. FBCCI Tech-C is aligned with national strategic and global trajectory from private sector as a homage to birth centenary of our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50th anniversary of independence of Bangladesh. FBCCI launched Tech C to tell the story of technology’s role in Bangladesh economy and advocate for rational policy solutions that drive economic growth, spur innovation, and create jobs. Tech C plans to collaborate and complement the existing startup ecosystem players in Bangladesh. Our nation’s future economic success, growth, and competitiveness depends on a thriving and innovative technology sector. Data-driven innovation is the foundation of businesses across the country. Even though technology has been dominating the global scenario for quite a while now, the acceptance and utilization of it across traditional cultures and sectors have been quite slow. The advent of the Covid pandemic has radicalized the digitization process across the globe; so much so that, even traditional sectors such as Education, Health and Finance have incurred a significant shift towards digitization leveraging technology. Bangladesh was no exception and we saw impressive technology adoption. It happened because since 2008 Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Digital Bangladesh was executed, spearheaded by Honorable ICT Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy. Additionally, more than 84% of the demographic belongs to the informal sector. Meanwhile existing tech startups serve only the niche market (those who have digital literacy). To have a transformative impact, the masses need to be integrated into a digital ecosystem providing them the opportunity and means to develop their skills for the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). Technology is an enabler and it is not just an industry – technology is changing industries. The main goal of Tech C is to curate startups and create “Impact Tech Preneurs” who can:
build a digital eco system
solve social problems of masses

Demonstrate measurable & transformative impact. Tech C will help to graduate startups from democratizing technology to democratizing innovation. In order to boost the startup eco system Tech C:
