We would like to introduce our establishment's signature cocktail, the "Bolingo," created by our talented mixologist . It has quickly become our most popular and best-selling drink, adored by all who have had the pleasure of tasting it.
's inspiration for this masterpiece came during his time working at a small bar in Ghent. He aimed to create something truly unique that would forever change his perception of cocktails, thus resulting in the creation of the Bolingo.
This exceptional drink is made using homemade Nigerian Hibiscus syrup, freshly squeezed lime juice, and Tangueray 10 Gin, resulting in a fruity, sweet, and refreshing flavor that cannot be replicated.
The name of the drink stems from ’s Congolese heritage, where it translates to "love" in the Lingala language. 🇨🇩
Indulge in the Bolingo and allow your taste buds to experience a flavor sensation that is sure to leave you yearning for more.

BARRO “Perfect Manhattan”
History:
Like so many cocktails, the origins of the Manhattan went lost with time. And, as neither the name nor the ingredients are so unusual as to prevent inadvertent duplication, the mystery is likely to remain unsolved.
The first mention of the beverage we could find is in September 1882 article of the Olean, New York, Sunday Morning Herald. “It is but a short time ago that a mixture of whiskey, vermouth and bitters came into vogue.”
In this article, the ingredients (whiskey, vermouth, and bitters) and the now-known name of the drink were mentioned. However, other names, like Jockey Club Cocktail and Turf Club Cocktail, were said, making the article a bit unclear.
The first detailed recipe for the Manhattan cocktail was printed 2 years later in 1884. This was featured in O.H. Byron’s book called “The Modern Bartenders’ Guide”.
The recipe called for 3 parts whiskey, 1 part sweetened vermouth, and a few dashes of bitters. Since then, the Manhattan has become one of the world’s most famous cocktails, and there are now many different variations of the drink.
Our take:
We chose to create a sweeter and boozier version of the perfect Manhattan, by adding maple syrup to the mix and using Laphroaig single malt scotch whiskey.

History:
This drink is one of the most popular classic cocktails of all time, invented in Mexico in the 1930’s. The classic way to make it is with just tequila, triple sec and lime juice, like in our Classic Margarita.
Our take:
We decided to add our homemade Hibiscus syrup to fuse sweetness and tartness to the mix.

ANTWERP SOUR
Try out our own take on the famous New York sour🍸
History:
We believe it was first made in the 1880s by a bartender in Chicago, this drink was originally named the Continental Sour and then the Southern Whiskey Sour, also masquerading as a Brunswick Sour and Claret snap before becoming best known as the New York Sour, probably after a bartender in Manhattan started serving the drink and made it popular.
Our take:
Originally this cocktail is a sour and boozy cocktail. A classic bourbon-based whiskey sour made more interesting both visually and in flavour by addition of a float of red wine.
made a sweeter version of this drink by adding homemade pineapple syrup.

Our take:
We slightly changed the recipe to amuse our own pallets. Instead of the traditional Gin, we fat-washed our Grappa with a basilicum infused olive oil.
Fat-washed Grappa

At 16 years of age, Miché started working behind a bar and fell in love with it ever since. “I feel like I can express myself through cocktails in many ways” he always says.
After working in different bars and restaurants of different cities, he decided to come to Antwerp where he started working in Barok, where he met Alex.
and him shared a dream, which was opening a cocktailbar for our people, where everyone could be themselves and enjoy good drinks & good music. No tasteless etiquette but a place where there is respect for quality, hospitality and service.
is now 23 years old and can proudly say his a co-owner and shareholder of the bar he always dreamt of.
He will gladly help you to create your favourite cocktail, whether it is an existing one or a totally new one you would love to try.
