A new round of AI development
1. Meta prepares a tool for creating chatbots on Instagram
The new tool will significantly expand Instagram's capabilities for businesses and content creators. It will allow to develop both personal and public assistants that will help with shopping, travel planning, meme creation, and much more.
2. Apple is looking for AI for iPhone 16
The company is in talks with OpenAI and Google to integrate generative AI into iOS 18. This technology can significantly improve Siri and other features of the iPhone 16, which is expected this fall.
The decision with whom to cooperate has not yet been made. (UPD it seems a few days later they did and below is the news 18 related to this)
3. A new level of capabilities in Adobe Photoshop
The latest update of Photoshop introduces Adobe Firefly 3 - now the Generative Fill feature doesn't need software to work: it selects the optimal background for the image!
What's new?
Generate Similar: Now you can create three images similar to yours.
Generate Background: a function that creates a background for an image.
Reference Image: Use any image as a style reference.
4. Meta has integrated a neuron into Ray-Ban smart glasses
The glasses have a wide range of functions and allow
Take photos and videos hands-free by simply giving commands
Instantly translate text from any language just by looking at it
Receive information about your surroundings right on the lenses of the glasses
Share your impressions with friends and subscribers in real time
Send photos with one click without taking your eyes off the phone
5. Gemini AI assistant is now available directly in Chrome
To use it, open Chrome and type @ in the address bar, click "Chat with Gemini", enter your query, and get a response from the AI.
You need to update Chrome to the latest version.
A Gemini extension for the browser is now available. The most powerful Gemini neuron is now, thanks to the efforts of one skillful user, right in the sidebar of the Chrome browser - and it works on any page! Work with text, emails, and generate content without minimizing or switching windows. AI can work with Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive files. - It used to be just an extension.
6. Using SORA, the OpenAI developer has created a full-fledged music video that is almost indistinguishable from a human-made one. (I'll attach the clip)
7. New KAN neural architecture challenges traditional MLPs
KAN requires less data for training, produces much better and more accurate results, and its math capabilities surpass any other artificial intelligence. The new neural architecture has even "rediscovered" the laws of physics and mathematics. This may be the key to solving complex problems that were previously unattainable for AI.
8. OpenAI has signed a deal with the Financial Times
The company has signed an agreement with the Financial Times to license content and develop AI tools. From now on, ChatGPT will search for answers in the publication's articles, adding a link to the source each time.
9. Ukrainian students win international AI hackathon
The team from the KPI lyceum PL of KPI Igor Sikorsky won the international artificial intelligence hackathon for teenagers - they developed the ConnectAbility app that helps to learn sign language. It is an AI-based application that teaches sign language to children with hearing impairments. It can also act as a "voice translator" thanks to its ability to recognize voice gestures.
10. Intel shares fall by 30% due to fierce competition in AI
Intel expects revenues in the range of $12.5-$13.5 billion, while analysts had predicted $13.57 billion. This led to a 30% annual drop in shares, as Intel lags behind its competitors (Nvidia) in the production of advanced chips and components for AI.
The stock drop reduced Intel's market capitalization by $19 billion.
11. OpenAI may be developing a search engine
The first evidence of a possible ChatGPT-based search came from user Ashutosh Shrivastava on XDA Developers, who posted a photo of OpenAI's SSL certificate logs. The logs show that the company has a new domain, search.chatgpt.com.
This indicates that OpenAI is developing a search engine that will use ChatGPT capabilities.
12. Microsoft is developing a new large-scale language model
The neural network, codenamed MAI-1, may compete with OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic. MAI-1 will have about 500 billion parameters, making it one of the most powerful language models in the world.
13. AI breakthrough in genetics
Google's AlphaFold 3 neuron generates DNA and RNA with atomic precision and builds any protein globules.
The neuron is free for scientists. (2 videos, I don't know if you need them, but here they are)
14. Satellite Internet will become cheaper thanks to AI
Expensive antennas make Musk's Internet, available anywhere in the world, too expensive. To reduce the price, Greenerwave has developed a revolutionary satellite terminal that uses AI and meta-materials.
Greenerwave's small antenna effectively corrects the signal sent to orbiting satellites, even if they are constantly moving. AI plays an important role in this correction, increasing the efficiency of the system.
15. OpenAI is preparing "something new"
The sly fox Sam Altman is stirring up public curiosity ahead of Monday's big announcement by saying that it is "not GPT-5.
We've been working hard on something new and we think people are going to love it. I can feel the magic right now!
16. TikTok automatically marks content created by AI
The platform is introducing "content credentials" to identify AI-generated videos and photos. This will help users recognize content not created by humans.
Previously, TikTok required authors to disclose the use of AI on their own, but it was difficult to control. New automatic labels will make the process more transparent.
17. OpenAI wants to p...rno (hands on the table)
The creators of ChatGPT and DALL-E are discussing the possibility of legal generation of 18+ content in their neurons. By this, the company means "eroticism, extreme violence, insults, and unwanted profanity" in the form of pictures and text.
We are exploring whether we can responsibly provide the ability to generate NSFW content in age-appropriate contexts. We hope to better understand the expectations of users and society regarding the behavior of models in this area.
OpenAI also agrees that "po*******hy" is a relative concept and depends on the personal views of each individual.
18. Apple and OpenAI finalize agreement to implement ChatGPT in iPhone
Consensual use of ChatGPT features will be available in the next version of the iOS 18 operating system (I issued this, and the news is numbered 18 and iOS 18. Apple is expected to announce the availability of these features next month at its Worldwide Developers Conference.
19. Scientists created AI to model brain activity
The basic model allows to accurately determine brain activity, regardless of a specific disorder or disease.
The team used 80,000 scans from 40,000 subjects to train the model and create BrainLM.
This allows it to be used to customize specific tasks and formulate questions in other studies.
20. Full-fledged game locations from a short promo
This is how the combo of Stable Diffusion 1.5 neurons, ControlNet, TripoSR and three.js works - just run around the map and create textures with text.
The developer promises to share the code soon. (3 videos)

🛒 Unveiling E-Commerce Secrets: How Online Stores Influence Your Digital Cart 🛒

Share this article so your friends can learn how online stores “play” with us too!

“Your order has been confirmed!” – a familiar notification in your inbox. But do you know what’s really going on behind the scenes when you shop online? Let’s dive into the digital world of e-commerce and expose some clever tactics that keep us clicking that “Buy Now” button.

1. Shop on the Right Days:
- The internet is open 24/7, but sales and promotions tend to drop on Wednesdays through Fridays. Time your shopping accordingly to snag the best deals.
- Remember, the early bird catches the discount worm!

2. Beat Dynamic Pricing at Its Own Game:
- Dynamic pricing is like a sneaky chameleon. It adjusts prices based on factors like location, time of day, and your browsing history.
- Outsmart it by:
+ Clearing your cookies.
+ Going incognito.
+ Using a VPN for a fresh start.
- Pro tip: Tuesday afternoons used to be the golden time for flight deals, but nowadays, deals pop up randomly. Keep your eyes peeled!

3. Sign Up for Everything:
- Yes, even that newsletter. Why? Because those promo emails often come with a sweet 10% or 15% discount.
- Create a separate email account for all the shopping-related stuff to avoid inbox overload.
- Also, join loyalty programs. Earn points for every dollar spent, and redeem them for perks, swag, or future discounts. Even if you’re not a die-hard loyalist, free shipping and birthday presents are always nice.

4. Set Up Flight Alerts:
- Got a trip planned? Use Google Flights to set up price alerts. You’ll receive an email as soon as prices drop.
- Check the price history for your flight to decide whether it’s time to book or wait a little longer.

5. Shop with Reputable Retailers:
- Bookmark your favorite online stores. Avoid typing URLs directly to prevent typos that could lead you to fake sites.
- Stick to retailers you know and trust. Safety first!

6. Comparison Shop:
- Don’t settle for the first deal you see. Use comparison websites or browser extensions to find the best prices.
- Remember, a few extra clicks can save you some serious cash.

Now you’re armed with e-commerce knowledge! Be a savvy online shopper, and don’t let those digital tricks fool you. 🛍️

Effective Email Marketing Strategies to Avoid Spam Filters

Email marketing remains a powerful tool for businesses to connect with their audience, drive engagement, and boost sales. However, with the rise of spam filters and heightened user awareness, it’s crucial to implement strategies that ensure your emails reach the intended recipients’ inboxes rather than getting lost in the spam folder.

Let’s explore some effective tactics:

1. User Consent Matters
Before sending any marketing emails, ensure you have explicit consent from your recipients. Implement a Double Opt-In process, where users confirm their subscription via a follow-up email. This not only ensures compliance with privacy regulations (such as GDPR) but also helps maintain a clean and engaged subscriber list.

2. Clean Up Your Database Regularly
Inactive or disengaged subscribers can harm your email deliverability. Regularly clean up your mailing list by removing inactive users. Additionally, consider re-engagement campaigns to win back those who haven’t interacted with your emails recently.

3. Make Unsubscribing Easy
Include a clear and prominent unsubscribe link in every email. If users can’t find a way to opt out, they might mark your email as spam. Respect their preferences and promptly remove them from your list upon request.

4. Automate Smartly
Leverage automation to send relevant emails based on user behavior. For example:
- Welcome Emails: Send a warm welcome to new subscribers.
- Abandoned Cart Emails: Remind users about items left in their cart.
- Birthday Emails: Personalize greetings and offers based on their birthdate.

5. Personalization Wins
Collect user data beyond just email addresses. Use segmentation to tailor your content based on demographics, behavior, and preferences. Personalized emails have higher open rates and engagement.

6. Avoid Spam Trigger Words
Certain words trigger spam filters. Avoid using phrases like “free,” “discount,” “urgent,” or excessive exclamation marks. Craft subject lines and content that feel genuine and relevant.

7. Test Before Sending
Always test your emails before hitting the send button. Check how they render on different devices and email clients. Ensure that links work correctly and that your content isn’t triggering spam filters.

8. Monitor Metrics
Track key metrics such as:
- Open Rate: How many recipients opened your email.
- Click Rate: The percentage of users who clicked on links.
- Bounce Rate: Emails that couldn’t be delivered.
- Unsubscribe Rate: Users opting out.

Analyze these metrics to refine your email strategy continually.
Remember, successful email marketing isn’t just about promotion; it’s about building relationships, providing value, and respecting your audience’s preferences.

Feel free to share this article with your network!

🚀 Solving Remote Work Challenges: Misunderstanding and Lack of Engagement

Remote work is becoming increasingly popular, but it’s not without its challenges. One of the biggest is misunderstanding and lack of engagement. But don’t worry, we have solutions!

1️⃣ Daily Standups: Brief meetings to discuss current tasks and issues. This helps increase the transparency of each team member’s work.
2️⃣ Retrospectives: Meetings at the end of the sprint to analyze successes and mistakes. This helps continuously improve processes and communication.
3️⃣ One-on-Ones: Personal meetings of the manager with team members. This helps maintain motivation and strengthen trust.
4️⃣ Regular Virtual Meetings: Create a schedule of regular online meetings to discuss current tasks, share successes, and solve emerging problems.
5️⃣ Digital Feedback Tools: Use platforms for collecting feedback, such as surveys and polls, to understand what motivates your employees and make appropriate adjustments to management processes.
6️⃣ Flexible Work Schedule: Allow employees to plan their workday independently, which can increase their job satisfaction and motivation.
7️⃣ Training Team Members in Intercultural Communication Skills: This can help prevent misunderstanding and conflicts.
8️⃣ Conflict Resolution and Stress Resistance in Remote Work Conditions: This is important for maintaining a healthy work environment.

Remember, every team is unique, and what works for one team may not work for another. Therefore, it’s important to regularly get feedback from your team and adapt these strategies according to their needs.

🌟 The Journey of a Brand: From Virtual Territories to Trust and Growth 🌟

Hello, dear colleagues and fellow explorers in the world of web development! Today, I want to share with you the incredible journey of our brand, UTD.

🚀 Inception: It all began 12 years ago. We were a young team, fueled by our passion for web development. We explored virtual territories, crafted websites, and built online stores. Joomla, Opencart, Woocommerce — each platform marked a new chapter in our journey.

🔍 Quest and Choice: But then we stumbled upon Shopify. It was our “Everest” — tall, challenging, yet awe-inspiring. We focused our energies on it, and it proved to be the right decision. Shopify became our steadfast companion.

🛠️ Craftsmanship and Creativity: For 7 years, we delved deep into Shopify. We crafted stores, developed apps, and designed web applications. Our hands became skilled tools, and our imagination unlocked boundless possibilities.

🌈 Colors and Forms: We didn’t just code; we designed. We realized that a brand isn’t just about functionality; it’s about colors, shapes, and emotions. We became architects of virtual worlds.

🤝 Alliances and Partnerships: Our collaboration with clients is akin to friendship. We help them grow, achieve their goals, and navigate this digital journey together.

🌟 Psychology and Marketing: Understanding user behavior became our obsession. Why do they choose a specific product? What emotions do they experience? We apply this knowledge to create successful strategies.

🔥 Igniting the Brand: Brand-building is our passion. We identify strengths, foster trust, and take calculated risks. Paid Ads, influencer marketing, design, development, and SEO are our tools.
Friends, our journey continues. Let’s keep creating virtual realms, inspiring one another, and growing. The brand journey isn’t just words; it’s our life. 🌟

🙌 Share your work experience and achievements! What challenges have you overcome? What moments stand out? Let’s inspire each other! 🚀
