Dear customers,

Due to an accidental fall this evening, dad was taken into hospital for a check up, just to be sure he hasn’t broken anything.
But knowing him he’ll be fine after a good old moan!

So please note that the pub will only be opening at 16hrs tomorrow, Friday 14th June.

Jill, you are a star in every way, and we will miss this laugh

BATS are devastated at the passing of our beloved Jill Franks.

Jill was a stalwart figure in BATS for decades: as an actress, director, and as the Chair of our club. So not only did she drive our theatricals to new heights, she also helped us thrive as a club and a community.
We are going to miss her immensely and cherish her memory. We extend all our sympathy to Jill’s family and friends.

Today in Antwerp we launch this year’s Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies, an event close to Jill’s heart. We dedicate FEATS 2024 to Jill and the memories of the great times she brought to us. ❤️

There will be a book of condolences all weekend at the hospitality desk so you can all write messages, anecdotes or memories to her family.
