[STREET ART] Qui a dit qu’une œuvre d’art ne pouvait pas apparaitre en grattant un mur ? 👀
Le PARCOURS Street Art a eu l’honneur d’accueillir l’artiste de renommée internationale Vhils pour la création d’une incroyable fresque à Bruxelles.
💣⛏ A l’aide de différents outils (marteau-piqueur, burin, marteau de tailleur de pierre, explosif, acide, etc..), Vhils grave les murs pour y révéler de gigantesques portraits.

This year, we proudly unveiled a permanent sculpture at Ostend train station! The Crystal Ship - Oostende has cemented its reputation as Belgium's foremost open-air gallery, drawing esteemed street artists from across the globe to leave their mark on Ostend's walls. 🌍

Inspired by the enduring legacy of the illustrious James Ensor, Dulk delved into his captivating color palettes and fascination with the macabre. Through a fusion of his fantastical vision and James Ensor's surrealism, this 3-meter-high sculpture stands as a testament to the seamless blend of artistic styles. 💀🎩

Traditional masks adorn the background, reminiscent of cultural motifs yet reimagined with modern sensibilities. And at the heart of it all is case_maclaim’s version of James Ensor’s self-portrait, rendered in photorealistic detail and topped with his signature 'carnival is canceled' face paint.

Both playing with the symbolism of masks, Ensor and Hera sure would have a lot to talk about if they lived in the same era. Inspired by the diversity of masks, some as a disguise some to reveal, Hera's artwork invites us to stop and think about identity and self-expression.
