Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of His Former Majesty King Albert II
Sixth King of the Belgians from 9th August 1993 until his abdication on
21st July 2013.
The King was born in Stuyvenberg Castle near Brussels on the 6th June 1934 as Prince of Belgium and of Liège, third child and second son of His Late Majesty King Leopold III and Her Late Majesty Queen Astrid.
In 1993 the then Prince Albert of Liège succeeded to his elder brother,
His late Majesty King Baudouin.

IN MEMORIAM

This day 17th February 2024 we commemorate the ninetieth year since
the tragic death of our late Sovereign Lord King Albert I of the Belgians,
of Blessed and Glorious Memory.

His Majesty King Albert I died completely unexpected in a tragic accident, while mountaineering in Marche-Les-Dames near Namur, on 17th February 1934 aged 58.
The King was born in Brussels on 8th April 1875, he was King of the Belgians from 23rd December 1909 until his death in 1934.
King Albert I is still considered as a true Hero of the First World War and is known to the Belgians and throughout the world as the Soldier King or the Knight King.

If one takes into account the inhumane monsters that now rule the world, then
it is absolutely of the essence to mark the death and the immense loss of Monsieur Robert Badinter on the 9th of February last.
One of the greatest humanists of the last century, the man who enacted the abolition of the death penalty in France in 1981. Robert Badinter also played a "decisive role" for the decriminalization of homosexuality in France. Minister of Justice “Garde des Sceaux” under President François Mitterand. President of the French Constitutional Council 1995-2011. Monsieur Robert Badinter 1928-2024 left us at the blessed age of 95.
