Hotel Rosa is located in the picturesque Ostend on the Belgian seaside. The concept 5AM designed breathes life into the existing location, preserving the stories of the past and cherishing its history while selectively exposing layers to reveal its true essence. Within the walls of Hotel Rosa, spaces, materials, and objects find new purpose through refined reuse, creating an enchanting blend of nostalgia and modernity.

Radiating confidence, warmth, and optimism, the design of office interior embodies the party's transformation - a contemporary approach that strengthens its connection with the people. Neutral colours form a serene backdrop, letting the party's vibrant identity shine. Reflective surfaces subtly mirror the dynamic spirit of modern engagement.

By respecting the original architecture, we’ve carefully sculpted objects that embody the essence of the location, crafting a fresh and immersive experience. The core lies in the contrast of soft & rounded shapes against sharp & straight lines.

Each floor boasts a unique ambiance and style, yet seamlessly connected for a harmonised experience throughout. We created a space where people can meet, talk and work together. Making the office environment feel welcoming and well-organised.

Unfortunately this design proposal won’t come to life - but we are still excited to showcase it.

‘Past, present, future’ stands for creating a space to thrive - a future for the past with a design that's adaptable and efficient. Our take on the building combines the historic architecture with modern elements and a few but sharp materials such as steel and mirror, brings the space into a new era.

The challenge was to give it a strong identity that would enable it to hold its own against the historic architectural church building. Aiming to deliver a surprise from the moment of entry, with unexpected touches.

Unfortunately our proposal wasn't selected this time. While it's not the outcome we hoped for, we're grateful for the opportunity to have shared our vision.

We are working on the new office space of - a renowned Brussels communications agency. The design integrates customized initiatives aimed at well-being, with a keen eye for reuse and ecological products.

In full action on site: the implementation of acoustic insulation. The spray, made from shredded newspaper, provides excellent acoustic absorption. This makes collaborating, concentrating, and communicating in the space much more pleasant.

Introducing our modular shop display concept designed for Sijs.

We've created an illusion of spaces using steel tubes, which allows Sijs to fill them with different floor and wall finishes. Afterwards they can change these finishes according to demands and trends.

This means that Sijs can adapt their store layout and design without having to make any major renovations. Plus, it adds a unique and recognisable touch to the overall aesthetic.

Last Friday we raised our glasses to a fantastic 2022 and looked ahead to 2023, which looks very promising.

Our great team, beers, wine, burgers, fries, beats and our friends from .be & were the perfect ingredients for this pleasant evening.

Introducing our latest office design concept: an 1500sqm office at Gare Maritime in Brussels, set to be completed in April. Our team is committed to creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing, with a focus on sustainability, comfort and circularity. Keep an eye out for updates and sneak peeks as we bring this concept to life.

Bistro. Designed for the hospitality industry.

The simplicity fits seamlessly into every type of setting, but also has an own identity due to the subtle design. We provide the backrest with a soft linen plaid. This can be embroidered personally per catering business. Its seemingly casual folding contrasts with the clean lines of the set. The armrest of the chair hooks perfectly over the table top for easy cleaning of the floor underneath.

The materialisation of the TVH offices is sober and at times monochromatic with the anodised aluminium and grey fibreboard. The red accents, on the other hand, pop out and define the social areas.

In contrast to the monochrome pallet of the TVH offices, the warmer materialisation & lighting in the restaurant creates a moment of escape for their employees during the day.

New project online.

Set across 4 storeys, TVH's 10.000 m2 office building, was designed so that the spatial concept not only covers their needs today, but allows the organization to grow and move services internally without major renovation works.

A few months ago TVH PARTS opened its new headquarters in Waregem. As a partner of DBG Architecten, 5AM took care of the spatial design of this 10.000 sqm big building. The full case will be featured on our website very soon.

Last week the renovation works of a new hotel project in Ostend started. Instead of tearing down the existing interior completely, the focus is on reintegrating as much of the existing elements as possible.

A bold new concept that embraces its history.

The shop in Kortrijk was the next to be fitted with the new Brooklyn concept. Once again we created an urban atmosphere that is flexible enough to evolve with the trends and seasons. The open facade, the large skylight at the back of the store and Brooklyn's hand-painted (first) logo make this branch unique within the group.

For .gallery we created zones by using a flexible system and focal points that serve each activity individually.

The divisible freestanding system can be expanded or disassembled without the use of tools, ensuring ease of use for exhibition installation.
