They chose 18kt white gold highly polished with a flush set grey diamond and custom engraving inside.

I met these guys a few months ago in the store during their trip to brugge - we instantly hit it off. I was super happy when they wanted me to make a set of replacement wedding rings for them, particularly as they went for a style I am personally enjoying working and pushing forward at the moment.

Bart’s ring was also a dream to make - fusing 18kt gold, hammering and working up a heavy chunky ring.

I melted and reformed the gold from an old chain from Mark’s uncle. Creating a set of classic heavyweight D shape wedding bands in 3mm/6mm widths.

Super clean and polished finish for some timeless classic rings.

For Katrien : .bruges

Incredibly special and meaningful set of rings for Katrien.

Katrien asked if I could resize her husbands wedding ring who had passed away recently.

We also spoke of the idea of melting her wedding ring and his together to become one piece and something new.

I suggested I adjust her husbands ring so she could wear it and think a little more about melting the two together. I really wanted Katrien to consider the decision before doing something we couldn’t reverse.

She came back to collect the resized ring - we had a small piece of white gold left from the resize with the original hallmark and maker stamps left over. This was the only place to remove metal for the resize without cutting the original engravings inside the wedding band

Katrine had decided she wanted a second ring to wear alongside her husbands ring - she really liked the slim rectangular signets in the store. So I suggested we create a signet ring that can sit along side the original wedding band and show off the small hallmark section of gold as a feature on the head of the signet.

A very emotional time for Katrien, but we made great decisions together and created something she can honour and enjoy the memories of her late husband with.

I am truly honoured you put your trust in me to work on something with such importance to you. We had an emotional few moments talking about the rings - it really meant a lot to me and I enjoyed every part of the journey with these rings. Thank you!

For Bavo & Eline :

Really cute set of slim wedding rings for Bavo & Eline I recently finished up.

Bavo - Oxidised sterling silver with a small 18kt yellow gold fused/inlay. The gold used here came from the same gold to create Eline’s ring.

Eline - 18kt yellow gold and diamond. Eline inherited the diamond - so it was a nice touch to use the stone in her wedding ring. The band width was just over 2mm - so this is a really slim and minimal ring and setting.

Really eye catching set of rings that compliment each other well - even though they chose different metals and slimmer sizes for each ring.

A set of rings that started out during a wedding ring workshop .silver.hand with finishing details added by me in the following days.

Eline..

14kt yellow gold wedding band and proposal ring. The proposal ring features a rose cut green tourmaline - such amazing depths to the colours in the stone. We kept this one simple to allow the stone to pop from the polished ring shank.

Nicolas…

Heavy weight sterling silver ring with 14kt gold inlays. 3 small pieces recycled and reused from the gold to make the set for Eline. 3 pieces representing Eline, Nicolas and their new baby :)

The 3 rings together make a really striking set.

I’ve been a little slow posting pics of my recent work passing thru the store - so it was time to stop hoarding pics and start sharing 😎

I finished this wedding ring set back in April for Kenneth and Ineke.

Heavy weight oxidised sterling silver ring for Kenneth - with a sneaky gold heart on the inside, the gold came from little scraps made during the making process of the ring for Ineke. Adding a nice connection between the two rings.

14kt yellow gold ring - with a raised grain set salt & pepper diamond for Ineke.

Fun set to make for a super lovely couple!! Thank you ⚒️😊⚒️

For Miqele & Ellen :

They joined me in my wedding ring workshop .silver.hand for this collaboration. They made the base rings to their size, and left the rings with me to add the stone, gold and finishing touches.

Both rings made from heavy weight sterling silver, oxidised and rustic textures.

Ellen’s ring with a turquoise stone.

Miqeles ring includes gold fused sections and a gold inlay forming a cross. The gold we melted, reformed and reused from his grandmothers necklace :)

18kt gold fused sterling silver ring.

Rough hand forged textures, oxidised sterling silver with 18kt gold fused details.

This ring is from my permanent collection in the store, available in various shapes and sizes or custom made to your own choice of width/shape/weight. Each ring is handmade from start to finish and always has a unique texture on the outer surface.

Thierry chose a custom width for this ring - at roughly 10mm. It was a chunky one - but felt great :)

Patrick & Tine - .aerts : I met this lovely couple in the store a few weeks ago while they were visiting Brugge looking at rings.

Patrick chose one of my new styles of signet rings -melt formed smiley signet. (Still working on a catchy name for him) A one of a kind signet, hand forged in heavy weight sterling silver. One of my personal favourites from my new collection this year - so happy to see it going to a new home.

Tine recently chose one of my collage rings from the store and asked if I could make a custom version, using elemental signs and a gold fused background to the collage details. The most fun ring to work on - forming and forging out the flowing shape, rough engraving the elements, adding tiny details along with 18kt yellow gold fused layer to make the black and patterns pop.

Thanks again for dropping into the store and choosing such fun rings to work on. It was a pleasure to meet you both.

A little treat of a signet ring for my buddy .the.viking.

Heavy weight hand forged sterling silver. Rough rustic feel to the whole ring with a rough cut logo top.

Ridiculously fun to make - and always a pleasure to make something for a friend. I really did not want to let this one go - fit my little finger perfectly with a real weighty feel to it.

A new collection of jewellery is now available in store.

Starting things off with my new collection of sterling silver hand forged signets.

Featured here - heart shapes, rough hammered forms, heavy weight classic ovals and 18k gold fused heavy weight rough squares.

Each signet ring is individually hand formed and shaped - so each one is unique in size, weight and character. They are ridiculously fun to make - but take a lot of hammering! (Sorry neighbours!)
It’s been a busy few weeks at my bench creating a new collection for the store- il be showcasing everything in the coming weeks. ⚒️😊⚒️

For Emma & Tim :

This was a fun project from last year. Starting out with a close call with .tim arranging to meet for the first time to discuss the ring in the store - happened to drop in 20 minutes before the appointment by chance to say hello 🫣 Crazy panic to stop Tim coming to the store so we didn’t ruin the surprise! We just made it - although I’m certain Emma suspected something was going on :)

From Emma’s love of the forest - Tim had a clear idea of working with gold & emeralds to create a ring of tree branches connecting around the stone.

18kt red gold - hand forged branch details with a super bright emerald stone set within the branches.

This was a monster to get thru - and took a whole bunch of time and lots of hammering! But totally worth it after seeing how happy Joe was with the result


Heavy weight sterling silver, hand forged snake heads, twisted and forged bracelet structure with a rustic oxidised finish. 18kt gold fused details around the snake heads and emerald eyes.

2022 has been an amazing year for me and my store.
Having the chance to make such important pieces of jewellery for lovely people has been really special.

My own work and collection is constantly evolving and I am incredibly humbled every time someone chooses to buy a piece from me or chooses to commission something important.

It’s been my first full year in the store and I am truly enjoying everyday I spend in here. Thank you to everyone who has made it possible in 2022.

I’m looking forward to 2023 with a bunch of new commissions already being started, a new collection coming for the store and finally my website going live :)

For Guy : Heavy weight, rustic, hand forged signet in sterling silver. Hammer, heat, repeat to get this heavy weight ring into shape. Adding a rough engraved logo and an oxidised finished made this one come together real well. For Hilda and Jean-Paul :

Hilda and Jean-Paul are quickly becoming two of my best customers here in the store. They have both chosen some of my larger heavily forged/textured pieces since I first opened last year.

So when they asked me to make a pair of heavy weight rings for them I jumped at the chance as I knew exactly what they would like to wear.
They had some old gold necklaces they no longer wore - which I recycled and reused within the rings. It gave me the chance to get some amazing coverage with the gold on the rings.

Super heavy weight, hand forged, oxidised sterling silver with fused gold. This pair were hard to let go of when I finished them as I’d happily wear both of them!

It’s always amazing to be asked by friends to make a special piece for them. This guy though - he helped me so much with events and the store in the past and still does!! So the pressure was on :)

Christophe wanted a particular style to fit with his love for turquoise and Native American style jewellery. We spent some time choosing stones and the overall feel of the bracelet.

Heavy weight sterling silver - with rough set turquoise and coral. Textured and oxidised with a layered arrow head/tail around the cuff.

Super happy with the way this one turned out - finding a balance between a rougher worn looking finish while keeping the overall shape and design that Christophe was looking for.
