🌍 Only 3 weeks until the ! This week, we're celebrating the milestones of Atlantic cooperation by looking back at three key declarations and statements that form the backbone of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA):

1️⃣ Galway Statement (2013) – Pioneered transatlantic ocean cooperation between the EU, USA, and Canada, focusing on the sustainable use of the Atlantic.
2️⃣ Belém Statement (2017) – Reinforced the collaborative effort between the European Union, South Africa and Brazil, advancing Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Cooperation for the South and Tropical Atlantic and Southern Ocean.
3️⃣ All-Atlantic Declaration (2022) – A cornerstone agreement signed in Washington DC, uniting nations across the Atlantic to strengthen the community.

These agreements reflect a shared commitment to conserving the Atlantic Ocean through scientific diplomacy and international collaboration 🌊

ProBleu Project is working to expand the Network of European Blue Schools & integrate ocean and water knowledge into classrooms 🧑‍🏫. Through educational materials and funding, the project engage the younger generation and foster children’s responsibility towards the local environments 🌊.

project NetTag is raising awareness about litter and the role of fishers in the collection and disposal of marine debris 💡.

The project organised a beach clean-up event with around 70 volunteers and resulting in over 180kg of litter collected 🙌.

is empowering citizens and youth to take action and drive the transitions by co-designing and co-implementing solutions to protect our ocean & waters. Through projects the Mission is educating younger generations about the need to protect our natural resources for the wellbeing of all!

Bluemissionaa developed an ocean literacy book introducing children to the benefits of a healthy ocean 🐠 and their role in protecting our natural resources 👏.
