If you visit Belgium 🇧🇪 , then Brugge is a must see!

Only here the medieval architecture is very well preserved, where the buildings are 500 or more years old. 🏠 Here you will forget that you live in the world of gadgets. 📱

The only thing is that there are a lot of tourists. 🎒 During COVID time not a lot, as all restaurants are closed. 🍽
On the other hand, the city is half empty, and you can take your pictures freely))) 📸

Bruges is a small city, but there are 50 castles. The largest amount by square meters among all Flanders. 🏰

Due to the large number of canals, Bruges is called the Little North Venice. 🚣‍♂️ By the way, if possible, you should definitely take a boat tour. 🛶

Also if you are interested in beer 🍺, then there is a tour to a local brewery right in the city center (Brouwerij De Halve Maan Brugge). Straight from this brewery, beer flows through pipelines underground straight to the bottling plant, (swipe right for more photo) 🍾

❓ Did you know about Bruges?

🇷🇺 🇷🇺 🇷🇺

What is that?

I was passing by this place many times but never pay attention to that small monument

It is dedicated to the people died on the street.

Every glove has a name and age of the dead person.
This way people want to memorise that not everyone had a chance to live in better circumstances. 🏠 Even a sticker “J’existe.” means “I exist. I was also a human.” 🕊

There are a lot of people are living under poverty in Belgium 🇧🇪 nevertheless it’s a wealthy country. It could happen because a person lost everything and is not eligible for a social support for some reasons. 💰

All shelters are full of people and not every person can have a chance to have a place there. You can see that in the movie “Pursuit of happiness “. Moreover the rooms are so small and dirty so many homeless prefer to sleep outside under the sky.

Do you have such monuments in your city?
Or something alike?

How do you keep your cats away from your Christmas trees 🎄 ?

I use several paper tissues with citric 🍋 🍊 essential oils. Just pour oil on paper tissues and leave it under the tree. I poor a lot of tangerine essential oil on 4-5 pieces of paper tissues.

🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺

Many people visit Ostend only for its coast.
This summer was a hell! You had to book your spot in advance.

Btw last weekend we went just to free up our mind and I discovered for myself this street. Kind of glory alley in LA but a tiny version.

And here I think, how many stars are belgian?

Here I found some of them.

▪️𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀

The brightest Belgian star in Hollywood at the moment, Antwerp born he performaned as brutish outsiders in the intensely visceral Bullhead (2011) and the affecting romantic drama Rust and Bone (2012), Hollywood came calling.

▪️𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲

‘The Muscles from Brussels’: it’s a nickname and a legacy that can’t be ignored. Before the arrival of Schoenaerts and his smooth English, Jean-Claude Van Damme was the most famous Belgian actor ever to grace American screens. Appeared in films like Bloodsport (1988) Kickboxer (1989), Double Impact (1991) and Timecop (1994). He has even starred in “Friends “

▪️𝗖é𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

She is from Wallonia, Belgium’s French-speaking part. Actress spent her formative teenage years in Namur. She went on to star in commercial hits such as The Art of Seduction (2001) and Irène (2002). Two Césars (or French Oscars) and roles next to Jackie Chan (Around the World In 80 Days) and Matt Damon (Hereafter) later.

▪️𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗽𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻

Born Audrey Kathleen Ruston to a Dutch Baroness and an English businessman. The woman that gave the world Holly Golightly (Breakfast at Tiffany’s) and Princess Ann (Roman Holiday). The current owners of the town house where she was born are dedicated fans who throw a birthday party in Audrey’s honor every year that anyone is welcome to attend for drinks.
--Janna, why we never heard about it?

▪️𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘂

The Brussels born polyglot is best known for his role as Scarpine, who faces off with Roger Moore’s 007 in A View to a Kill (1985).
Bauchau appeared in minor roles in major American blockbusters such as David Fincher’s Panic Room (2002) and the Ray Charles biopic Ray (2004).

🇬🇧 Its not just love. Remember that everything is short. Think of it this way: Maybe this is the last cup of coffee I have. Maybe this is the last book I read. When you are constantly alert, you can really enjoy and love. Otherwise, we are always thinking about the next thing, and we cant really feel life.

- Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche

I see it as: enjoy your life right now as you never know if your “after” will come

Do you agree with that?

The painting itself can be found in the Louvre, the largest museum in the world,
I got to there completely free of charge, because it was July 14 - Bastille Day (French national holiday)

🔆 I found 10 the most interesting facts:

1. Mona Lisa does not have clearly visible eyelashes or eyebrows. In 2007, an engineer used high-resolution imagery to show that the painting originally had visible eyebrows and eyelashes, and these gradually faded over time, possibly due to over-cleaning.

2. Pablo Picasso was questioned as a suspect when the Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911.

3. Leonardo da Vinci used over 30 layers of paint on the Mona Lisa, some of which were thinner than a human hair.

4. Mona Lisa is not painted on canvas, but on three pieces of wood about 4 cm thick.

5. Leonardo da Vinci invented the scissors, played the viola and spent twelve years painting the lips of the Mona Lisa.

6. A Bolivian tourist threw a stone at the Mona Lisa in 1956, damaging the painting. It is now stored behind heavy-duty armored glass.

7. The Louvre administration spent 7 million euros on the installation of security systems that protect the Mona Lisa from kidnappers and other intruders.

8. Mona Lisa is estimated by some experts to be worth approximately $ 782 million. Insured for $ 3 billion, La Gioconda is the most expensive painting in the world.

9. Mona Lisa was moved 6 times during World War II to keep her out of the hands of the N***s.

10. The original of La Gioconda has been cut. People found out about this purely by accident when they found an ancient copy of the painting, without cropped edges.

❗️Oh, yeah! That room is always crowded! I waited just half an hour to take bloody selfie.

❓ Which fact do you love the most?

𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴

Many of us have a hobby but are you loyal to only one?

My hobbies are changing all the time.

📿I remember I liked making pearls bracelets.
🧼 Then I made soaps in different shapes. I could make a teddy bear soap.
💅 Then I started doing my nails and I am still doing it.
🇪🇸 From 2019 I started learning Spanish. A B1 level expect to achieve by the end of this year.
🎨I am painting time to time
🎄 After that my new hobby was making Christmas balls. My last Christmas tree was gorgeous.
💎⚜️This year during quarantine I made brooches.

🤳And today I am more in digital. Photo, video, instagram and filter masks. Did you try it?

☕️ Of course my biggest recent contribution is a coffeeshop. Of course now I have to work much harder and be way more serious.

And after all of this I know that a new thing will come. This is not my last passion.
And I love that I don't stick to only one thing. There is always space for something new and exciting.

There is only 1 thing I’m always loyal to: TRAVELLING 🧳 🗺 ✈️

And what’s your hobby? 💗

🙃 AM I POLYGLOT?

Not many of you probably knows that I can understand, speak, read and wright in 6 languages.

1️⃣ Russian
2️⃣ Vietnamese
3️⃣ English
4️⃣ French
5️⃣ Dutch
6️⃣ Spanish

1️⃣ WHY RUSSIAN?
I was born in Russia! And successfully graduated my school there. That's why I speak Russian much better then any other languages. All my friends are mostly Russian-speakers. Do I feel myself Russian? Probably as 1/3 of my life i spent in Russia.

2️⃣ WHY VIETNAMESE?
I am originally Vietnamese. I have to communicate with my parents using that language as they have difficulty to speak any other one. When we were living in Russia I had to manage everything by myself as my Parents knew only basic Russian (such as expressing needs and feeling). My mom always mixed up 2 words (dirty = грязный and hot = горячий ). My daddy taught me Vietnamese before I went to elementary school. I still remember these summer days when I was 6. My friends knocked my door but I could not leave because I have to LEARN. I felt myself offended, furious, frustrated and angry. WHY I have to stay home when other kids playing outside?! Now I understood. My parents were training my brain without intention. Thanks to them! All my paperwork in Vietnam I ran successfully by myself while people who were born there did through agencies.

3️⃣ WHY ENGLISH?
Common, everyone has to speak English. How can you survive during travelling if you cannot express your feeling and needs?? I learnt English at school and my mom also forced me to take extra English classes as she believed it will improve my life. And she was completely right! Thank you mom!

4️⃣ WHY FRENCH?
I live in Belgium and people here do not speak Belgian, nah. Many of my friends asked me if I can speak Belgian, but there no Belgian language.
There are 3 official languages: French, Dutch and German.
I started with French as I believed that language will be useful for me and moreover in Brussels most of the services are french-speaking. I achieved the level B2 and pretty happy with it.

5️⃣ WHY DUTCH?
You know in Belgium not everything is easy. I has issues with my papers and French school rejected me to continue my courses after 8 months of intensive studying. What I have done? Of course with the same papers I applied in another school and they accepted me! Weird but it is Belgium! I complete my intensive Dutch courses and was in enrolled at the university. YES! I studied Business managements with graduation i Accounting and Tax in DUTCH! I studied in the language I know the least out of 5 that time. I was struggling as hell, my first year was full of tears and cry. I cried and studied. Complained, studied then cried again. It was a challenge that I had accepted!

6️⃣ WHY SPANISH?
Why not? When I was around 13 years old I told my daddy that I wanna learn French or Spanish. That time my dad could not afford my French/Spanish classes as he was already struggling to pay out my English. After 1 year of hard working my company was satisfied with my job and they asked me if I have some wishes/suggestion. I asked for Spanish and they accepted. They are paying for my Spanish lessons and I am so happy with it. I have a good A2 level and I wanna achieve B1 by the end of this year.

The main fact that I use all these languages almost everyday

▪️Russian: friends
▪️Vietnamese: family, relatives, friends
▪️English: work, home, friends, Instagram, ▪️travels
▪️French: work, services in Brussels
▪️Dutch: work, services in Belgium
▪️Spanish: travels, classes

Will I continue learning other languages? Of course!
Which language is the next? We will see and even choose together!

And how many languages do you speak?🙃

VISA to UK 🇬🇧

👉🏻 ЛИСТАЙ КАРУСЕЛЬ И ЧИТАЙ НА РУССКОМ! 🇷🇺

Wanna go to UK 🇬🇧 but you don't know the conditions?

First of all check if you need a VISA to UK!
You can do it easily here 👉🏻 🌐 https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa

If you don't need a VISA then feel free to come! Before for EU citizens an ID card was enough, no passport required. After Brexit it might be changed.

What if you need a VISA?
In my case I live in Belgium 🇧🇪 and I have a permanent residence permit. No EU 🇪🇺citizenship so I need a VISA.
First of all you check what kind of VISA you need.

In my case it was a tourist VISA as I had no intention to work, live or study there!

I chose a short term visit VISA.
👉🏻 🌐 https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa

Short-term in my case was 6 months long and multy-entry. It means you can leave UK whenever you want and then come back during the valid VISA dates.

Check which papers you need for your application!

I provided:
- Valid passport (better with 1 year valid at least)
- copy's of my student contract or payslips (if you work)
- bank statements (that i can handle myself and will not struggle during my visit)
- hotel booking (or similar)

You can check here 👉🏻 🌐 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/visitor-visa-guide-to-supporting-documents/guide-to-supporting-documents-visiting-the-uk

All papers are gathered? Then make your application and pay your fee.
In 2018 short term visa costed me 176.00 EUR. Now maybe more.

Your application is here
👉🏻 🌐 https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa/apply?step-by-step-nav=f49b3f00-d489-4726-b116-4157cfb6a183

Book your appointment and bring everything with you.
Originals and copy's.
NO staplers or paper clips.
Don't be late!

Good Luck!

SHOPPING ADDICTED? 🛍

Hot topic for ladies! 💃🏼

As a woman we all love shopping! A purchase makes us feeling soooo good! 🤩
I cannot say that I'm shopaholic BUT I assume a spend a lot! 💰

Where do I buy brands?

The best prices are in Spain outlet villages.
I visited 2 of them: near Barcelona and Malaga. I admit prices are slightly lower than in Belgium or in The Netherlands.

For example: Karl Lagerfeld bag costed me 109 EUR in Malaga and in Roosendaal outlet it was 139 EUR. The original price of the bag is around 200 EUR.

Of course I will not fly to Spain just for shopping so when I am in Belgium I prefer buy online!

My best friend is ! ❤️

Sometimes treats me with promo codes so I have 10-20% discount of free delivery. On Zalando Lounge you can find brand with up to -80% discount. Something was 100 eur and you pay 20 instead! My Michael Kors watch cost 419 euros, and I bought it for 150 somewhere!

Besides I check also

but outlet section

Offline I prefer outlet villages in Maasmechelen (BE) or Roermond (NL). Roermond is the best!

And where do you do your shopping?

1️⃣ La comida (food) - oh yeah. Paella 🥘 and seafood 🐙 .

2️⃣ Fiestsas (feasts) 💃 - I think Spain is very high skilled in that 😆 ! I have been once on Fiesta Gracia in Barcelona - unforgettable (check my highlights)

3️⃣ Arquitectura (architecture) - colorful and extremely impressive! Just think about Barcelona with Gaudi and Andalusia with its Islamic monuments! Incredible!

4️⃣ Idiomas (Language)- Yes! Yes! Yes! I finally can speak and understand spanish well! I wanted to learn Spanish when I was 14. And I'm still learning to get higher level. Languages are my passion and Spanish is my 6th one.

5️⃣ La genta (no esta muy loca) - People! Spanish people are very emotional, passionate, friendly and (super) active. They even speak very fast!

Let me know what do you think about Spain in comments 😊

==TRAVEL BOOKING TIPS==

I prefer booking in advance. Prefer to have roof above my head rather risk.

1️⃣ First step you can check GOOGLE map! Just open and type hotel. Then click on the one you liked and it shows you prices on different websites! Here you can compare and choose the website you like.

Another way to compare prices is #roomguru.ru but it is for russian speakers. The same steps!

2️⃣ Second step, compare not only the prices but also conditions! Some websites offer free cancellation while other not! Or even last minute cancellation. Always compare this criteria.

3️⃣ If you are a couple then some hotels offer you special treatments. Ever tried? Did you pay extra? I tried in Granada and we got free upgrade. And you?

4️⃣ In some countries there are cash back systems. Use this opportunity! If you are client of Mobile Viking or ING then you can have cash back up to 10% of your booking (again compare the prices and enjoy your discount). Also there is a website #familycard.be online shopping cash back if you are from Belgium 🇧🇪

5️⃣ Groupon can also offer you good hotels for lower prices, but (!) always check location. Sometimes it’s a 5 stars hotel but outside of the city.

✅ Some of my observations
~ When I was in Asia I noticed that Agoda offers lower price
~ Booking.com has genius system of loyalty. Check it!
~ Expedia offers more free cancellation during COVID-19 than Booking
~ Airbnb you can cancel even when you are already checked in. You will have refund for the days you don’t stay there -1 day and fees

🙋🏼‍♀️ Do you have something to add?

PABLO PICASSO

His full name is 23 words long!

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio C***o Ruíz y Picasso

👉🏻 Swipe to some of his masterpieces
Following me these are the most understanble.
Mjst of his paintings are perverted ahahahah 😆

Some of his quotes I like.
Which one is your favourite?

1️⃣ Everything you can imagine is real.
2️⃣ Good artists copy, great artists steal.
3️⃣ Action is the foundational key to all success.
4️⃣ Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.
5️⃣ It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.

Some places I have visited in Malaga 🇪🇸

1️⃣ La Alcazaba
There is a nice on Malaga city from Alcazaba. It is a Moorish fortress palace and valuable monument from the Islamic era. But if you have seen granada then I won't be impressed. Sunday is the free entry day of the Alcazaba, and Gibralfaro starting from 14:00.

2️⃣ Roman Theatre

Suggest to visit if you have never been to Colosseum in Rome.

3️⃣ Málaga Cathedral

5️⃣ Castillo de Gibralfaro

Unlike the Alcazaba the site has a more warlike purpose, with lookout towers and ramparts that are still standing today, competing with the pines on the hillside.

Simply we were hungry 😅and didn’t visit that part after Alcazaba. I’m sure - food was amazing.

6️⃣Picasso’s Málaga

Pablo Picasso was born in Málaga, so no trip can be complete without paying tribute to this 20th-century icon.

Head first to his birthplace, or Casa Natal, on Plaza de la Merced.

A larger display of his paintings can be seen at the Picasso Museum a couple of minutes away. Free entry on Sunday after 5 pm.

7️⃣ Beaches

Don’t stay on the Malagueta! Lot’s of thief
Take a bus and go to “Playa del dedo” or “Playa del Palo”.

We went swimming leaving our phones on the beach.
If you have more time and budget then plan Nerja for beach time
If I knew before I would book more days in Nerja and couple of days in Malaga.

Have you been to Malaga? @ Málaga, Spain
