سال گذشته سال سختی بود. نمیتونم تو چند خط بیانش کنم ولی سخت‌ترین سال این سال‌هام بود… هنوزم ادامه داره به هزار و یک دلیل …
این کار رو دسامبر سال میلادی پیش شروع کردم و بعد از چند دقیقه دیدم رنگ قرمز رو بومم ریخته. کار و کنار گذاشتم تا کمی آروم بشم… تا از پریشونیم کم بشه ولی هر دفعه که قلمو رو برداشتم دیدم رنگ قرمز و دارم رو پالتوم خالی میکنم. شاید اجتناب ناپذیر بود ! شاید باید خالی میشدم ! شاید باید رهاش میکردم ، هر چه باداباد . این رنگها منم ، خود خودم… ، اونی که شاید خواستم ناخوداگاه قایمش کنم یا شاید فقط ذره ذره گذاشتم رو گوشه کنار بوم‌هام بیان تا کم کم تخلیه بشن ولی این راهش نبود ، باید کامل و یکجا میومدن روی بوم.
این اولین باره احساس میکنم یکی از نقاشیم ها پرتره خودمه. یه پرتره انتزاعی ! حتی اگه خوب نشده و کامل نیست چون منم کامل نیستم …

Do you think that’s enough good as the first acrylic painting, when you don’t have any idea about this material...!?
And why did I have to switch from oil to acrylic!!!
Because of having a student share room.
A simple reason changed my way. 🙃

Thuis. Wat is thuis? 50% van de bewoners in Brussel zijn niet in België geboren. Wat is voor hen “thuis”? Dat vroeg de stichtster Helen O’ Sullivan van de Green Door Gallery zich ook af. Ze is namelijk een Irish wonend in Tervuren, met kinderen opgevoed in België. Het is ook het thema van de tentoonstelling die nu in de The Green Door Gallery aan het lopen is en te zien tot de 7e januari. Helen, zelf een kunstenares, heeft het platform OESS gebruikt om kunstenaars uit te nodigen om over het onderwerp na te denken en zich kandidaat te stellen. Een jury heeft 30 kunstenaars geselecteerd. Het resultaat is indrukwekkend. Van de dertig kunstwerken zijn er twee schilderijen die op mij een sterke indruk hebben gemaakt. De tent van een prostitué en de valies van een Iraanse vrouw.
