We are looking for 7 actors (4 female, 3 male) in their early 20s to early 30s. The play is set in Newcastle in northern England, most of the characters have lived in the area for many years and have been to school together, therefore native English-speakers and slight non-native accents are welcome, one of the roles (female) is explicitly Irish in the text.

1. Love in a Glass Jar, by Nancy Harris
A short play from an acclaimed Irish playwright, about a sterile liaison in a hotel room that threatens to spill over into real life.
Cast:
One male and one female actor, English mother-tongue, aged very approximately mid 20s – mid 40s.
Director: Jane McBride
2. I (Heart) Alice (Heart) by Amy Conroy
This one-act play was the winner of the Fishamble Award for New Writing.
The play looks at the relationship between two women, and how it has developed over the years.
Cast:
Two women (characters are in their 60-70s, but you don’t have to be!).
Director: Leo Kilroy
Auditions for both plays will take place in the Warehouse Studio on Monday 22nd January at 19:15 (73 rue Waelhem, Schaerbeek).

ITG are preparing a number of play readings at the Studio Theatre and we are currently casting an Irish play from a well-known and exciting author with 7 young people
This is “just” a reading, in a low-stress social get-together setting. So if you can read this, consider yourself a contender 😊
It will take place at the Warehouse Theatre, 1030 Brussels, on Friday 8th December, beginning at 20h00 for a couple of hours, and with a short rehearsal / readthrough, on another evening beforehand (tbc).
