It is our privilege to have a living, abiding Saviour. He is the source of spiritual power implanted within us, and His influence will flow forth in words and actions, refreshing all within the sphere of our influence, begetting in them desires and aspirations for strength and purity, for holinessand peace, and for that joy which brings with it no sorrow. This is the result of an indwelling Saviour. —Ellen G. White Comments, in The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, p. 1134.
There are very many who claim to serve God, but who have no
experimental knowledge of Him. Their desire to do His will is based upon their own inclination, not upon the deep conviction of the Holy Spirit. Their conduct is not brought into harmony with the law of God. They profess to accept Christ as their Saviour, but they do not believe that He will give them power to overcome their sins. They have not a personal relation with a living Saviour, and their characters reveal defects both hereditary and cultivated. . .The only hope for these souls is to realize in themselves the truth of Christ’s words to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.” “Except a man be born from above, he can not see the kingdom of God.” John 3:7, 3. — Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 48.
"You may feel the deficiency of your character and the smallness of your ability in comparison with the greatness of the word. But if you had the greatest intellect ever given to man, it would not be sufficient for your work. "Without Me ye can do nothing," says our Lord and Saviour. John 15:5 - Ministry of Healing, p. 513
ISDA BREAKS NEW GROUND
On Saturday, 19th October 2024, members of the Brussels International Seventh-Day Adventist Church worshipped for the first time ever in their new location at 17 Jacques Hoton, in Woluwe Saint Lambert.
Though there is still a lot of finishing touches to be done, dedicated members, from the Pastors, Elders to everyone present during work days, had put their hearts and means into making the space welcoming to all, thanks to the assistance of the conference, Fédération Belgo-Luxembourgeoise.
Indeed, Pastor Tibor Szilvasi, the preacher for the day, who spoke after the first Elder, Eugene Reginald, praised members for their efforts, while exhorting each to keep contributing until work is finished and the debts are paid.
His sermon entitled “A Matter of Perspective” which highlighted the need for Christians to daily live according to God’s eternal perspective, was equally a call to embrace the new perspectives offered by the Holy Spirit, in their relocation from a business neighborhood to a residential one.
The blessing (inauguration) of the building which will be jointly celebrated with the 30th anniversary of the Brussels Isda is slated for Saturday, the 2nd of November, 2024.
"There are some ...who have been standing in their own light. Some have been ready to discover the evil, and talk of the evil, but the good they have seen in their brethren they have not commended. Those who are ready to speak and think evil of their brethren are hurting Christ in the person of His saints. They grieve the heart of Christ, and place their own souls in jeopardy ..." This Day with God, p. 298.3
Join us this Sabbath afternoon at the music festival of our sister Church in Brussels!
Please be informed that tomorrow, 12 October, we are not going to worship at our new building yet. Instead, we are going to have an online service. If you are interested in participating, please send us a private message and we will send you the login credentials!

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?
2
“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.”
3
“When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of sorrow shall not overflow;
For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.”
4
“When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.”
5
“E’en down to old age all My people shall prove
My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
And then, when grey hairs shall their temples adorn,
Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.”
6
“The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no, never, no, never forsake!”

Members of the International SDA church in Brussels, in the neighborhood of Ernest Allard, on Saturday 5th October 2024, celebrated the last service in the building that has hosted them and their guests for the past three decades, as they finalize plans to move into a new building situated in the residential area of Woluwe Saint Lambert.
The sermon by church Pastor, David Carballo, entitled “At the Gates of the Promised Land,” based on Joshua chapters 1 and 2, aimed at preparing the hearts and minds of the congregation to pursue their mission with a higher calling, was reminiscent of Israel crossing over the river Jordan, under the leadership of Joshua, Moses’ successor.
The service was equally marked by the dedication of two babies to the Lord, in the presence of first-time guests from Ukraine and the United States of America.
Save the Date!
We are so thankful that our new church building project is progressing. Stay tuned for another Facebook live event this coming Sunday!
ISDA would like to inform you that we will resume our live streaming programme as of Sabbath, 7th September. In the meantime, feel free to watch our yesterday's programme:

SABBATH IN NATURE 2024 was an Edenic experience
The weather was sperfect in defiance of the forecasts. It was like Jesus Christ calming the storm.
Sabbath School discussions were inclusive, according to age group and language mastery.
The potlock in a large quantity had a wide variety was delicious.
the SERMON was refreshingly eye-opening on several scores. The speaker-host, Sacha Decouttere shared some revelations on THE PARABLE OF THE ELEVENTH-HOUR WORKERS (Matthew 20).
For example,
1) The spirit, of the work we do, that is, the attitude we bring to our work is more important than the quantity of work we do.
2) instead of feeling that the employer is unjust in paying us the same wages as the eleventh hour workers, we should be happy for the unemployed for having finally found a job.
3) Of course, none of us should wait until the lastt hour before answering God's call, cautioned Sasha.
Jesus is alive today and longs to hear our prayers.
Reflecting on Ephesians 5:29 reminds us of the profound love and care we should extend not only to our own bodies but also to those around us. Let's cherish the gift of health and wellness, honoring our bodies as temples of the divine.
Join us tomorrow for our live streaming programme with Brother Walter Castro from the US! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoVNymtjjOA. He will speak in the morning for Divine Service, as well as in the afternoon at 2pm.
