At the back of the courtyard stands a charming cottage built on two floors (a old barn). A private library accessible to the guests connects the two houses. Both houses have been thoroughly renovated, all building materials have been restored to the original: antique wood, brick, steel beams and cast iron. This is a place that exudes well being in a warm atypical configuration. The Platane was decorated with souvenirs and artefacts brought from everywhere, Iran, Mali, Turkey, France etc. Although equipped with a modern central heating, the two houses are heated by two old coal stoves: a Base Burner American Heating from Pittsburgh (1890) and an Art Nouveau stove: La Grenouille They deliver an inimitable warmth. The set offers a living space of about 400m2, 80 M2 specifically reserved for the “LE CHALET” suite and 60 M2 for the suite “PINE & BRICKS”. The Platane’s situation makes it ideal both for tourists and family visiting Brussels, at close range from the major touristic sites and for the busy professional, thanks to its proximity with European’s Institutions headquarters and Business districts. The Owners, Natasha and Marc, spent years abroad and came back recently to Brussels. The Guest House opened in October 2012 and received more then two hundreds guest since. The Guesthouse enjoys an excellent rating on the feed back from all the guests and is committed to pursue and improve its services and hospitality.
