On 12th May 2022, Celebrating the interfaith community, Hindu Forum Sweden and Buddhism Gemenskap. Messengers of peace,

India is a land of colourful festivals. With a diverse population of different religions and castes, there are many regional festivals which are celebrated in different parts of the country. Be it Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Makar Sankranti among others, people celebrate the spirit of them by visiting religious places, illuminating their houses with lights and greeting friends and loved ones with sweets. Wishes for a good spirit of celebration of these festivals are shared through text messages among all. Some of the excellent collection sample of festivals messages of India is listed below:

We also had a meeting with Human Rights without Frontiers office and discussed the current state of affairs. This meeting happened almost after three years due the Pandemic

Mahashivratri, “The Great Night of Shiva” is the most significant event in India’s spiritual calendar.

The fourteenth day of every lunar month or the day before the new moon is known as Shivratri. Among all the twelve Shivratris that occur in a calendar year, Mahashivratri, the one that occurs in February-March is of the most spiritual significance. On this night, the northern hemisphere of the planet is positioned in such a way that there is a natural upsurge of energy in a human being. This is a day when nature is pushing one towards one’s spiritual peak. It is to make use of this, that in this tradition, we established a certain festival which is nightlong. To allow this natural upsurge of energies to find their way,one of the fundamentals of this nightlong festival is to ensure that you remain awake with your spine vertical throughout the night.

Forum of Europe is indeed saddened by the passing away of legendary singer Padmashri Lata MANGESHKAR

Lata Mangeshkar, ACLAIMED SINGER took her last breath at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai on Sunday, February 6th, 2022, she was 92. The singer was cremated at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park with full state honors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and many other EMINENT FIGURES paid their respects to Mangeshkar.
Daughter of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti Mangeshkar, Lata belonged to a musical family. Her father was a well-known Marathi musician and theatre artist. She was first tutored by her father and later appeared as a child artist in several of his plays.
Lata MangeshKAR has won the Padma Bushan, India’s highest national award, and so many “Filmfare” awards (her country’s equivalent of the Oscar) that she’s had to declare herself ineligible for more. Time magazine called her “the indisputable and indispensable queen of India’s playback singers.”
LATAJI WILL BE MISSED BY ALL HER FANS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. SHE HAS SUNG IN 36 LANGAUGES.

Bhai Dooj, the final day of Diwali festivities, falls on November 6/7 this year.

On this day -celebrates the bond between the siblings, sisters pray for their brothers' long lives by performing Tika ceremony and brothers give gifts to their sisters. Bhai Dooj is also known as Bhau Beej, Bhatra Dwitiya, Bhai Dwitiya and Bhathru Dwithiya.

Dhanteras, Also known as Dhantrayodashi and Dhanvantari Trayodashi, Dhanteras will be celebrated on November 2 this year. Know the date, significance and puja muhurat of Dhanteras.

It is said that Lord Dhanvantari emerged towards the end of the Sagar Manthan when the Devas and Asuras were churning the sea, with the nectar of immortality (Amrit)

Peaceful Protest rally and demonstration at Odenplan Square, Stockholm. Sunday 31 October 2021, Four Hindu organizations jointly led by Hindu Forum Sweden have organized a peaceful demonstration and protest rally at Odenplan Square in Stockholm against the brutal attacks on Hindus and Temple vandalisations during Sharodiya Durga Puja festival 13th – 21th October 2021 all over Bangladesh. This protest was announced by Hindu Forum of Europe, Hindu Forum of Belgium and held also in all over European countries. The participants of the joint demonstration in Stockholm were: Hindu Forum Sweden, ISKCON in Sweden, Bangiya Sanatan Samaj and Hindus In Sweden. During the protest rally, all speakers strongly protested and condemned attacks on Hindus and vandalization of Hindu temples and Puja Mandapas, looting Hindus houses and businessestablishments, killing of Hindu priests and r**e of Hindu women and children all over Bangladesh. Police and government machinery were silent. Voices were raised against the statement given by the foreign minister AK Abdul Momen as it was a fabricated one. They demanded his resignation with immediate effectand asked for an open apology to all affected Hindus. They also demanded the government to ensure a fair trial, exemplary punishment for all perpetrators and take appropriate measures to protect Hindus. All the participating organizations also decided to continue their protest until justice prevails.

To condemn the heinous attack on the Hindus in Bangladesh and seek justice for them, a team of delegates from Hindu Forum Sweden consisting of representatives from Stockholm Bangiya Sanatan Samaj, ISKCON and Hindus in Sweden met the honourable ambassador of the Embassy of Bangladesh, Stockholm, Sweden and handed over a petition to stand for humanity, ensure human rights and justice in the country.
