Grid comes to Brussels: after a rather large last-minute hiccup — our original venue .brussels at the former Imprimerie was prematurely closed last Friday —, we managed to find an alternative habitat for Friday next week: the newfound (f.k.a. Antidote), where we will be joined by from Berlin.

Introducing NEK () the second invitee on next week’s line-up. Brussels based, she is originally a creator of shows combining theater and dance. ** The VIP, an indispensable part of (underground) music culture and concept rooted in the early dubstep scene, presents the artist with the opportunity to reimagine one of their own tracks, rework a personal favourite, tweak the sounds of their biggest banger etc. Since there is no strict recipe for a VIP, we thought it was tremendously interesting to see how some of our favourite artists whom we have connected with through Grid would approach the task of creating one. These are the results. **

A lot of hugs, stankfaces and energetic dancing last Saturday—definitely the type of night we envisioned to have with Yalla and you all, thank you for the energy!

We are super thrilled to finally welcome OJOO GYAL , as there are few DJ’s who represent the “experimental club” aesthetic like she does.

Born and raised in Morocco, the recently Brussels-based OJOO GYAL has a wide-range approach to DJing, as evident from her Noods and Movement radio residencies. Her mixes vary from old-school dancehall to its contemporary mutations, heavy dub, bass, breaks, baile funk, and other radical twists of electronic music.

Together, we carefully curated a lineup full of local legends, national treasures and international headliners to end this summer on a high note. A bit late with this. Needed a long break after Gentse Feesten :) Nevertheless we want to take some time to appreciate everyone who came out to our events at Funke and Boomtown.
