Hideous, Disgusting, Outrageous, Abominable - so revolting I can't even find the words to describe its utter depravity....
.. especially since it’s, like, UNSPEAKABLE and everything, what have you...
Indeed Yes - a creature so vile and despicable that you wouldn't want it polluting your vision!
How did they let them create such abominations?! It is a travesty to ALL of god's more beautiful creations!!
OMG THEY WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM FOR THIS, I TELL YOU!!!..So indescribably hideous, in fact, that you sort of feel really embarrassed for the various assorted monsters surrounding the periphery of the image....
Who would've EVER thought to associate their somewhat less revoltingness with that wild gesticulating thing in the centre?!?

This was intended to imitate the style of A.I. You can absolutely imagine me typing in something like “carnivorous earthworm plant horror” to evoke these disgustingly unspeakable spawn. ..The original GIF series released in a form more amenable to sharing, even if it most certainly doesn't correspond to many people's sense of decorum and human decency...
So to all the people that commented on this GIF Set when I first started posting it: clutchin’ our pearls again, are we?
After having sent this one around, I discovered that other people don't really like having the graphic image of a pumping human heart sent to them...
In retrospect, it makes sense. People are more than willing to accept the human heart as a glib poetic metaphor that is so ridiculous that it lacks any meaning, but sends them an image of an actual blood pumping centre of human industry and they’ll genuinely look at you with shock and discomfort...
Try to point that out to people and they waste no time telling you that they find your graphic display of human flesh a little grotesque if not outright disgusting…
Unfortunately for you, I refuse to kowtow to you and your “moral values” and your “sense of common decency” and your "I know way better than you do" attitudes. Zachar just can't help the reckless enthusiasm of your pearl clutching'!
I mean, I’ll do ANYTHING for attention…
Except for sacrificing my principles that is…
What exactly is wrong with you people?!?
Everyone is perfectly willing to constantly refer to the human heart and send it in a ridiculous, idealized form as part of glib tokens of affection...
But send them a piece of actual human flesh and they may well think there's something genuinely wrong with you.

This is the second GIF in the "Belgian MoHo" series which explores, among other things, vernacular and formal language use...
So you may well ask yourself: what’s a MoHo?
'Ho' is an exclamation of surprise that has been use in English since the thirteenth century. It is also used in an indexical fashion to point at things, i.e. 'Westward-ho'...
..So the fact that it being used to direct the viewer's attention towards an extremely unusual facial decoration. I suppose a "moho" could be a particular type of warning about misbehaving facial hair: like, "hark the approaching moustache" could be an appropriate translation of this useful phrase...
..But in all likelihood it will be misunderstood. A 'Ho' has, since 1993, become popularised in African-American vernacular to refer to someone who sleeps around, or alternatively by a pimp to refer to his wh**es...
A MoHo, therefore, must be a moustache who sleeps around… This is clearly ridiculous and couldn’t mean anything else…
In retrospect, I suppose it could be easily misinterpreted. It could be seen to be referring to the bearer of the moustache being the actual slt here, or even to someone else entirely who lusts after moustaches or something.
I mean, people can say what they like about me. It wouldn't bother me at all if you called me this. But in light of this possible misinterpretation you probably should NOT refer to ANYONE as a MoHo, specifically not a Belgian one… not even accidently…
Because this brings us to the major meaning of the newly invented term "MoHo". Mo is also a vernacular reduction of "more" - meaning that if someone calls you a "MoHo" they are probably suggesting you are more a w***e than not.
So in retrospect you definitely shouldn't say it to anyone you actually like or you want to respond to you.
In fact, just don’t say it all okay? Let’s pretend I didn’t make up this word, alright?

In "Strait-Jacket", an exploitation flick directed by William Castle, Joan Crawford, locked up for twenty years for murdering her adulterous husband and his concubine, is implicated again when heads begin to roll...
What is it with axe murderers and American women?
If you ask me, they now have very good reasons to want to bear axes and murder people.
They have less choice than ever; they're just about to approve legislation in the USA which makes getting abortions for poor women nigh on impossible.
And if you think your society is free from the rights of women being infringed upon: think thrice kiddies.
The rest of the world tends to follow not resist what is prefigured by the U.S.
The world economy, after all, was hitched to the American dollar which means the market has shifted in line with social change in America. The world has been forced to follow.
Look how that turned out for the reliability of the dollar.
The first major reference in this set of art-works - the one you can't avoid seeing - is to the actual poster for the cheesy William Castle film. The title, however, has been changed to illustrate the weapon that Diana Coppens is wielding in this GIF: a Wire Hanger.
I told her to scream these words at the camera and she did so with enormous gusto.
So what's all that about?!
You may be surprised.
I certainly was.
'Straight-Jacket' was brought out towards the end of the starlet's illustrious career. I found this poster while looking for background information to Joan Crawford's career.
This poster caught my eye because it suddenly seemed appropriate in light of what is happening to the rights of women before our eyes...
The Wire Hangers reference that caused me to make this film in the first place is not actually to a Crawford film, but to something that appeared in a film about her.
It takes as a primary reference the cult film "Mommie Dearest" (1981) based on Crawford's adopted daughter Christina's auto-biography which has the immortal line "No Wire Hangers" screamed by Faye Dunaway as she perpetuates the cycle of abuse she herself suffered.
Whether or not she actually said it is moot; the thing is that so many people love the fact that she might've...
The 'No Wire Hangers' scenes were what turned this soapy piece of forgettable Hollywood melodrama into a cult phenomenon of megalithic proportions. This film became so popular that people would show up with wire hangers and mimic the scenes of child abuse. They'd dress up like the actress pretending to be a child abuser.
Maybe they still are!
Then there are all the other references: for example the competitive relationship between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford which received ultimate expression in the frankly immortal "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" (1962).
Also the recent TV-series about their rivalry: Feud - Bette & Joan (2017).
The best time I had with Diana Coppens?
..When I chucked her down the stairs...
This is actually attributed to Bette Davis in commenting on her role as Baby Jane Hudson who actually throws her sister (Crawford) down the stairs.
Seems pretty painful that this is the other popular way to perform abortions...
..Most common method? Wire Hangers, of course...
As usual high camp is based on utter tragedy.
The "No Wire Hangers" metaphor hit me yesterday and it hit me hard. I suddenly realized why I had asked Diana to mimic this scene.
Diana Coppens was every bit Faye Dunaway pretending to be Joan Crawford... and then some. She screams these words with such elevated passion it strikes me every time. I mean, it's hilarious. But there's something in the faux anger which seem remarkably poignant to me.
Women today have really good reasons to be angry.
Me being an absolute completionist and everything, I got her to do it with wire hangers, plastic hangers and wooden hangers.
It was so worth it.
Although Diana Coppens won me ages ago when she agreed to emulate eels, I'm still thanking my lucky faded starlets that I thought of getting her to do actions for the "No Wire Hangers" GIF-Set.
I had no idea at the time of the multi-levelled layered of meanings this would form.
My jaw dropped to the floor when I realized the extent of this very painful little metaphor as I realized what it meant.
Still, I love these moments of realization anyway.
NO MORE WIRE HANGERS FOR BACKSTREET ABORTIONS..precisely in the time when they're going to become so much more prevalent...
