Today, I had the pleasure of meeting my friend, Gurjeet Singh, who is the chairman of Brugge Cricket Club. I've known Gurjeet for some time now, and I’m well aware of his deep passion for cricket. He has put in tremendous effort to develop his cricket club in Bruges, turning it into an impressive establishment with top-notch facilities.

However, today wasn’t about cricket. Gurjeet invited me to visit his newly renovated restaurant, “Taj Mahal”, which he and his wife have been running for nearly 15 years. I went with no particular expectations, thinking it was just another new venture. But when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is not only beautifully set up but also bustling with happy, smiling customers, all enjoying top-class cuisine crafted by an expert chef from India.

Seeing the dedication and hard work that Gurjeet and his wife have put into making “Taj Mahal” a leading restaurant in the area was truly inspiring. Their teamwork and the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant were a joy to witness.

I wholeheartedly wish Gurjeet and his wife all the best. I am confident that their passion and dedication will continue to elevate “Taj Mahal” to even greater heights. It was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to seeing their continued success.

What a remarkable win for the Arcadians today against Anderlecht.

After being bowled out for just 101 in 31 overs, it looked like a tough total to defend. But in a moment of true leadership, Captain Samsoor rallied his team with a powerful pep talk, reminding them: “They need 101 to win – play and defend like never before."

That message seemed to resonate deeply, as the team gave more than 100% on the field. Their energy and determination were evident in every ball bowled and every move made. With fierce discipline and unwavering belief, the Arcadians bowled out Anderlecht for just 76 in 19.2 overs, securing a sensational victory.

This win is not just a testament to skill, but also a reminder to all clubs: no total is too small to defend if you stay united and maintain a positive body language on the field. The way the Arcadians fought hard and kept their shoulders high shows the power of never giving up, no matter the circumstances.

Special mention to Captain Samsoor for leading by example, opening the bowling, and delivering a crucial breakthrough in the very first over. In the end taking 4 crucial wickets.
Big congrats to Sabawoon our rockstar- he bowled really well taking 6 wickets today. Great young talent - long way to go.

Dear All,

I’m delighted to share some fantastic news from today’s friendly 30-over match against Lille, France. In a game filled with excitement and skill, Lille Cricket Club emerged victorious in what was truly a thrilling encounter. Big congrats to Benny and the team.

Team Arcadian led by Hamid Samsoor set a good target of 195 runs, finishing our innings in 29.2 overs. However, Lille rose to the challenge and chased down the target, scoring 196 runs in just 27.4 overs. The match was a perfect blend of excitement and sportsmanship, with both sides displaying controlled aggression on the field.

I must extend my heartfelt commendations to our opponents, Lille, for their exemplary spirit of fair play and discipline. It was a pleasure to compete against such a respectful and well-disciplined club, and the competitive spirit on the field made the game all the more enjoyable.

A big thank you to every member of Team Arcadian for your dedication, hard work, and the sportsmanship you showed today. Let’s carry this positive energy forward as we have another five league games still ahead of us this season 2024.

Dear Arcadians Members and friends,

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting a special club event, bringing together our esteemed former Arcadians members with our current team. It was a delightful experience where everyone gathered and enjoyed a memorable time.

It was heartwarming to see some familiar faces from the past. The smiles on our former members' faces were truly radiant as they breathed in the fresh air of the cricket ground and relived their youthful days. While the game itself was exciting, perhaps the most enjoyable part of the event was sitting together, sharing stories, and reminiscing about the good old days. It was truly refreshing.

We are pleased to announce that we've decided to make this an annual tradition, where we will bring together past and present members for what will be known as the "Arcadians Club Event."

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the current team for showing great respect and offering excellent hospitality to our former members. A special thank to the families who came along to share in the fun and support our Arcadians Cricket Club.

Dear Arcadian Cricket Club Members,

I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with all of you. In our last match of the season 2023 against Lille, France, Arcadian Cricket Club emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter. It was truly a remarkable game of cricket!

Lille set a challenging target of 190 runs while batting first, but our determined team rose to the occasion and achieved the target, scoring 193 runs in just 34 overs. The entire match was filled with excitement and sportsmanship.

I must commend our opponents, Lille, for their exceptional spirit of fair play and discipline throughout the game. Playing against such a respectful and disciplined club was a pleasure, and we thoroughly enjoyed the competitive spirit on the field.

A special shoutout to Najib from our team, who delivered a fantastic performance by taking 5 wickets with the ball and contributing 33 crucial runs with the bat. Najib is undoubtedly our Man of the Match today for his outstanding all-round performance.

This victory marks a great way to conclude our season, and I want to express my gratitude to every member of Team Arcadian for your dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship throughout the year. Let's keep the team spirit alive, stay happy, and stay safe until we reconvene for the 2024 season.

Arcadians batted first and made 157 runs in 35 overs.
Leading run scorer our opener Rahim 33 , Samsoor 24.

We bowled the opposition Exiles at 142 score in 33 overs. It was close match.

Our bowlers did fantastic job - led by
Sabawoon taking 5 wickets and captain Samsoor doing some intelligent n control bowling.

Big thanks to Hamza for doing excellent umpiring - as club we really appreciate.

Overall great weather, nice display of batting n bowling , both teams played with great discipline and respect for each other. Excellent and congrats to both teams for this 👍
