Last month I treated myself to a photoshoot with 🌙

As a mermaid performer and instructor it’s important that I also play mermaids just for myself.

Why would I play mermaids just for myself?

It serves as a form of self-care, allowing me to recharge and relax in the most fun way!

Mermaiding gives me an outlet for creativity and expression. So it’s a joyful and relaxing break.

& One of the most important ones, for my adhd-brain. So I don’t get bored of my own ‘hobby that became a job. I did it for the dopamine 🧜🏼‍♀️ 🌈

Last summer, I had the honor of co-creating with two of my underwater heroes: and

It was my first scuba-assisted photoshoot, a truly unique and exhilarating experience. Imagine diving down 12 meters deep, dressed in an elegant gown, while relying on scuba gear to keep you alive. The whole process was both thrilling and daunting, as I had to depend entirely on my scuba diving buddy to provide air between shots.

What makes this type of photoshoot special is the delicate dance between the model, the photographer, and the support team. Each breath and movement must be carefully timed to capture the perfect shot while ensuring safety. The dress, designed to flow ethereally, created a mesmerizing effect, but also added to the difficulty as it moved unpredictably with the water currents.

Thanks to Hannah Mermaid’s invaluable advice and Brett Stanley’s exceptional photography talents, we managed to create breathtaking images. This experience pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone and allowed me to be part of something truly extraordinary.

There is no need to force yourself to feel into the pink or yellow sunshine. Let’s normalize the spectrum of emotions, acknowledging that feeling blue is a natural part of the human experience. For blue is a symbol for strength, wisdom, struggle and hurt all at once.

Wintertime does make me feel blue, but the days are getting longer and I’m getting more and more energy again.

In Cozumel Brett Stanley and Hannah mermaid visited the Humarine shop. Then I did my first shoot with the amazing Brett Stanley. That has always been a dream of mine!

February was a festive month because of my 30th birthday, visiting Belgium after living 4 months in Mexico and the biggest mermaid show of my life.
