It’s a traditional Iranian cold dessert similar to a sorbet. It consists of thin vermicelli-sized noodles made from starch in a semi-frozen syrup containing sugar and rose water.

This year on Tuesday March 15 the people of Iran celebrate ‘chaharshanbe suri’ wich means ‘the scarlet Wednesday’ 🔥.

It’s an Iranian festival celebrated on the eve of the last Wednesday before Persian Newyear.

We call it the festival of fire ❤️‍🔥
We dance and hope for fire, light, health and happiness through the coming year 🕯

Chaharshanbe suri celebrations usually starts in the evening with people making bonfires on the streets and jumping over it.

Some believe jumping over bonfires is a way of taking away negative energy, sickness and problems. In return we getting fulfillment, warmth and energy ⚡️

We also celebrate this festivity and traditionally we eat ‘ash reshteh’.

An Iranian soup filled with special noodles and all kinds of beans and grains.

Because of the festivity we are serving ASH RESHTEH this week on our menu! 🤤
