- Available to work full-time Monday to Friday during office hours;
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Flexibility - no more than once month - to help for a few extra hours at events (to be recovered on another day);
- Living in Brussels;
- Strongly aligned with the values of the Vegan Butcher;
- Good English knowledge as this is our main working language.

The past weekend we had the chance to welcome some of you again at our new headquarters 🤩
The occasion was a brunch for the crowdfunding participants who chose this option as their reward.
Between a stuffed cheesy omelette 🥚, a breakfast sausage 🌭 a cookie 🍪 & many more options, we enjoyed a chat and got lots of encouraging compliments from habitués as well as new clients.
Thank you for coming, we hope you had a blast. We surely did 💚
3rd episode of... Meet our Seitan Ninjas 💚
Matteo joined the team in 2022 after working several years for a popular Italian pizzeria in Brussels 🍕.
Matteo is an ethical vegan with several years of working experience in the kitchen, as well as in production for a pasta factory in Pescara, his native city. Alongside his cooking experience, not many know that he has a past as professional skateboarder 🏂
Matteo supports the production of our seitan-based 'meats' and he is a specialist in large batch productions of our savoury finger food 🍢 🌯 With hundreds of arancini, pizzette or puff pastries on the menu daily, he certainly does not shy away from the kitchen! In fact, his strength lies in his precise and fine work, and we guarantee he is also super fast at it 😲
Matteo brings along a positive and relaxed energy and a strong will to learn all the secrets of seitan making.
Besides cooking, he is passionate and very knowledgeable about collectible watches ⌚ and skateboarding. He loves going to the movies, exploring the many cafés Brussels has to offer, or staying home with his 2 cats 🐈 , Nina and Qwerty.
The time to catch our breath following the opening event is over! Back to our favourite time: Weekly Special O'clock 🥳
Not a fan of exotic spices? That's because you've never gave our Katsu Chicn a try 😉 This japanese curry is one the creamiest sauce you'll ever eat, and our chic'n filet, breaded with cornflakes, complements it to perfection! A crowd favourite (highly approved at our corporate catering events), this meal is also an excellent way to feed a bunch of veggies to your kids, as it is not spicy🌶 but rather sweet🥕.
Although we skipped spring altogether, sun will shine as from tomorrow ☀️ Be prepared and stock up on our BBQ Pack or our sausages, as we're doing a 10% promo on both the black and white boudin until exhaustion of the stock ;-)

Friday 14th June, at 18h, we will toast to 2 huge milestones:
The VB's 5th birthday and the official opening of our own production facility (which includes a little shop, offices and a space for pop-ups/workshops and events).
We are not ones for big speeches but we, for once, would like to take the time to talk and thank each one of you since, in a way or the other, you have contributed to these achievements.
The entrance list for the event is closed; among the attendes are those who joined our recent crowdfunding, some affectionate clients and representatives of our dearest B2B or corporate partners.
We are very thankful and we look forward to Friday 💚

Second episode of getting to know us better with another: 'Meet the Founders 💚'
Federica, who you might recognise from our logo in her cartoonish alter ego, moved to Brussels 10 years ago from her Italian hometown Genova (IT).
After graduating in economics and working for a number of organisations, she decided to capitalise on this knowledge to follow her real dream: Creating a successful business! 💥
To this day, marketing and client management are her bread and margarine, but in a small 5 people team she wears all sorts of hats: From inventory to HR, to developing recipes and coming up with yet another idea, she surely does not fear away from double digits working days 😲
If she is not working at The Vegan Butcher, you'll find her hiking in nature 🏔 , running 🏃♀️, practicing pilates, visiting an art gallery, reading 📔 or stopping every single dog 🐶 crossing her way. One thing is for sure: She does not sit still for longer than 5 minutes!
Federica is hands down among the biggest fans of The Vegan Butcher's products. Her favourites: Chorizo, mozzarella and americain - plant-based of course, but do we really need to say it?! 🌿

With this page growing so much over the past 2 years, we thought to do a round of presentations for those who do not know the faces behind the VB 🙃
Let's start this first episode: Meet the founders 💚
Benoit was born in beautiful Bruges but has lived all over Belgium to pursue his passions. With a past as animal right activist, Benoit took the led of the Non-profit Organisation Animal Rights Belgium 🐮 🐷 . Over the years, he successfully planned and led a series of investigation campaigns revealing the horrible truth behind slaughterhouses’ practices.
In 2019, Benoit felt the need to start a new chapter of his activism: after the sad images, he wanted to show people what they can actually do to stop contributing to the cruelty. Good quality plant-based food was, in his opinion, part of the solution 💡
Benoit’s role within the company has evolved: starting off producing vegan meats and cheeses himself, he now controls the whole inbound and outbound logistics and manages the company’s website and webshop 👨💻 As the only technology savvy of the group, solving issues is a big part of his day-to-day job!
In his free time, Benoit enjoys hiking 🏔, spending time in nature with his dog 🌿 and lifting weights 🏋️. Above all, as the true space geek that he is, he is always on the lookout for news, documentaries and books about the universe. 🪐

We are so very proud to launch a new sauce by the kg, worthy companion of our well known 'staple' ones (bolognese, vol-au-vegan and carbonade). Welcome our first plant-based 'Beef' Stroganoff 🍅🥩🧅 Stroganoff is a typical Eastern meal, traditionally eaten with fettuccine pasta - but we love it with potatoes or rice - including beef chunks, onions, mushrooms, tomato, white wine... a literal umami explosion which, for its delicate/non-spicy flavours, will be a crowd pleaser among the whole family (:

Why we made this choice
We are Benoit and Federica, both united by a deep love for animals and a passion for vegan food. This is why, in April 2019, we took the decision to launch our first company together: The Vegan Butcher’s Choice.
Benoit’s life goal is to end factory farming and he believes we can accomplish this by creating vegan food which excels and outperforms on animal products. “I love creating food. I am an activist at heart, but I believe we can accomplish great things with skilful entrepreneurship by just creating superb plant-based food. The sky is the limit.”
Federica is a creative soul and believes her purpose in life is to give the world something authentic and pragmatic. “Art and compassion are the drivers of my existence and creating vegan food is both a form of compassion (towards animals) and a form of art. I am ready to contribute to a vegan world by winning people’s heart with our delicious products!
Starting off as a producer of artisan vegan meat-replacers, our project has come a long way.
We believe in the food of the future, today. Ready-meals, vegan "meats", "cold cuts" and "cheeses" are now available online for 1-time only purchase or via a convenient subscription formula.
