The hills will be alive with alchemy sound in Ticino Switzerland, a land of mountains, forests and lakes. Our retreat theme will be awakening to the soundscapes of alchemy crystal singing bowls. The quaint village of Novaggio sits at the base of Mt. Lema. Here our boutique hotel is situated near the lift that whisks us up to the mountain peak. An ideal location for a retreat, who’s only boundaries will be our imagination and vision expanding with alchemy crystal sound, yin yoga, healing meditation and meeting new friends. Mountain walks, swimming, hiking, dining at a local grotto or in-house with Giusy’s vegetarian cooking, the days are rich with alchemy sound and activities inspired by nature.

FULL MOON SOUND BATH CEREMONY WITH SHANNON - 17TH JANUARY, 2022 - BRUSSELS

The first full moon of the year, the Full moon in Cancer, occurs on January 17, there might be some tears. But never fear, because as deeply emotional as this full moon may be, it is also filled to the brim with opportunities to help you sort through and release your emotional baggage and bring some serious deep-cleansing to your psyche. Self-care is your best ally to navigate through this super special full moon.

Similar to all full moons, it is time to take a pause, turn inward and reflect. The monthly full moon is prime for contemplation, as often the days around it are robust with change, insights, epiphanies and decisions. Often, circumstances out of our control pop up during this time, triggering us to examine our own thoughts and feelings and their influence on the reality we exist in.

To astronomers, a full moon is just when the Sun and the Moon are at opposite points of the sky, causing the tides to magnify. But to astrologers, the magic of a full moon lies not in the rise of water on the earth, but the rise in anything hidden that’s ready to be healed.

Falling in the sign of Cancer, a water sign, this magic is super relevant. With the energy of Cancer, the full moon encourages us to delve into our feelings, self nurture, work with our inner child and learn to create the emotional safety needed to operate at our full potential. It is time to nurture yourself the way you’ve always wanted to be cared for—to connect more deeply with those you can be vulnerable with, including your family, blood or otherwise. It is time to turn to your inner child, give them a hug and remind them that they are powerful.

This full moon can be triggering, so remember to take your time, be gentle with yourself and be open to the universe pushing you into your power. You’re magical, and this full moon is bound to prove just that!

ALCHEMY BEGINNINGS - LOTS OF NEW!

As the year draws to a close, we reflect, count our blessings, release and let go as we look ahead with anticipation and excitement for 2022.

We want to say a big thank you for all your support this year! After years of sound healing experience we’re looking forward to guiding you towards your heart bowls. And we’ll share the knowledge through our Power of Sound Healing trainings. We need more sound healers for our world! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for entrusting us on your journey of healing. We are so honoured to share life times of deep meditation, yoga, sound healing and holding retreat space with you.

After four years teaching at Yoga Room the time has come for Shannon to say goodbye. I am so grateful to do what I love and for the students who have supported me with so much heart. It has been my honour to guide you. I am also very excited for the next chapter and am delighted to announce I will be teaching a weekly yin and sound class on Mondays at 19.15 in Brussels, as well as monthly full moon sound ceremonies from 10 January! Can’t wait to keep creating for you. Be sure to book your spots soon as spaces are limited!

Our Power of Sound Healing Level 1 trainings start in January and our first ever Power of Sound Healing Level II is in October - it is going to be deeply transformative and unique. We would love to take you on this journey with our special practices for self healing and so much more. You will be so welcome to join our beautiful community of practitioners!

If you need time to decompress, come home to yourself and have space to reconnect - we have our two retreats - Awaken to Spring retreat in March (Belgium) and our Summer retreat in August (Switzerland). Early bird for March retreat is until 2 January!

We will relax the body through yin yoga, then slow the mind down further with guided Samatha meditation and finally have an extraordinary crystal sound bath with many, many of our alchemy crystal bowls.
