Why invest in real estate in Bulgaria?

If you wish to buy a property with the purpose to let it out, the best location is the capital Sofia. In order to let out a property in the other parts of the country you have to have a trusted person/ company to help you because there aren’t many reputable property management companies in the countryside. In Sofia however there are very good firms which can deal with tenants on your behalf.
It is also great to have a holiday home in the ski or the beach resorts in Bulgaria. This would mean that the family holiday every year will be affordable and good quality. The food in Bulgaria is very healthy and the weather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter – perfect for all sorts of holidays.
Many buy properties in Bulgaria with purpose to sell them later. This is a good idea but one should be careful to get a good deal. For example some luxury real estate agents try to sell properties at London prices. Such sales are not sustainable because the property can never be sold at this price, at least not in the foreseeable future.

Your Bulgarian property can also be your shelter in case of a war. Bulgaria is not involved in any wars and therefore is considered a safe place. There has never been a terrorist attack, apart from one case which was a suspected case of terrorism but not confirmed.
