💡Challenges in Tracking European Startups:
Unlike the US, Europe lacks a standardized methodology for tracking new tech startups, making it difficult to get a clear picture of startup creation across the continent.

➡️Between 2019 and 2023, Europe saw more first-time and repeat founders starting companies annually than the US. However, this number has been declining since 2020 (Data from Atomico's Report).

➡️Globally, the rate of new company launches has dropped by 30% since 2020. The decrease in startup creation is attributed to factors like reduced VC funding, higher interest rates, and the war in Ukraine affecting global trade.

➡️European startups rely more on public funding and traditional loans, with a shrinking pool of VC funds available, leading to increased competition among startups.

➡️Despite recent challenges, there are positive signs of recovery, with some European tech ecosystems showing growth in capital and startups.
