Today, I want to share with you all the joy of being a hairdresser and professional colorist. Being able to work in such a creative field is truly a gift, and I feel so fortunate to be able to pursue my passion every day. After Care is super important after a Pull My Hair treatment. Here are some tips to keep in mind after a treatment

🌻 Do not over wash your hair if you don’t need to ! It will strip you treatment faster as well as dry out your hair

🌻 Make sure you avoid swimming pools due to chlorine. It will eat at your hair and strip your treatment.. chlorine is too harsh on your hair and will cause damage if you do not protect your hair (treatment or no treatment)

🌻 Using a microfibre towel is always a better alternative, normal towels are simply too rough

🌻 Professional products are Key ! Cheap products will generally have cheap ingredients = stripping your treatment. We offer after care products that will be better suited for your hair type after a treatment

🌻 Be gentle when brushing your hair. Use a wide toothed comb and always brush from the bottom up

🌻 Maintain your Hair Treatments whenever needed. This will allow your hair to become stronger and healthier

This week wraps up the first year of Pull My Hair Salon. It's been one hell of a roller coaster ride, but I can say, without a doubt, this year has taught me more about life than any other year. It has strengthened relationships, taught me how to get through challenges when think you have no more energy to give, and to sit back and be so damn proud of myself. I share a lot of my life with my clients. I'm a pretty tell-it-like-it-is, open book, kinda girl. 💕
So, you guys have listened to some of my stories while you were in my chair, and I'm writing this to share some of the most important lessons I've learned as we went through this first year together.

People always ask me how I compete with competition and say “There are a million hair salons on every corner why would you want to open one as well?”. I’ve heard it over and over. My answer remains as relevant now than when I first opened, “I quit looking at other salons as competitors.” I offer services and experiences that are unique to Pull My Hair, so I don’t have competition; I have people that share my passion.

Being original in the hair industry is a hell of a lot of work.
Promoting and hustling to convince people to try your new product is literally an entire set of marketing skills that you have to develop and be passionate about.

Charitable acts of kindness are something that I did often since I started Pull My Hair. It humbles me. You can ask me a million questions about my first year but, the most touching moments were when I chose to give back to people that have been through a lot in life. I have a talent I can offer for free, why not share the love to those who have been through hell and back. THOSE smiles, hugs and thank you’s... those are what keep me going. No money can buy that.

I love my clients like family, I always say it.

Many would say you lose a lot of friends when you open a business. I wouldn’t necessarily blame it on my business. I changed my mindset when I went into business for myself. I realized what mattered in life (money is nice but it’s not everything). I quit spending my energy on negativity and focused it all on setting goals for myself. I surrounded myself with people who constantly remind me of my goals and pushed me to be the best version of me. I didn’t lose friends, I created unbreakable bonds with the ones that believe in me.

Wrapping up my first year in business in Bermuda I cant help but say THANK YOU over and over again to every single client that has ever sat in my chair. I do everything I can to keep myself in business but I wouldn't be here without you my lovelies. ❤️❤️❤️So once again THANK YOU! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!, THANK YOU !!
