American Ballet Florianopolis
The American Ballet Florianopolis, Brazil is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Pre-Primary through Level 5 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Tasha Stramecki, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
ABF offers a professional non-competitive program focused on developing the student’s passion for learning, and dance. Placement in the training program for Student Ballet classes is by ability first and age second. Currently We have classes for ages 7 and older. It is not uncommon for a student to remain in a level for more than a year. All students progress at different rates of speed which is influenced by age, natural ability, and the amount of time spent in the classroom. Primary Levels, Level I, and Level II will require 2 classes per week with more recommended as your child progresses to a higher level. Those who wish to continue their training and advance to pointe are highly encouraged to take three to four technique classes weekly. The safety of the young adolescent and teen dancer aspiring to do pointe work is of utmost importance to us.
American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum Examinations:
It is our objective to be able to offer examinations by the American Ballet Theatre board of Examiners from NYC.
