What Is the 4th of July, and Why Do We Celebrate It? Let freedom ring—and the fireworks bang!

🇱🇷Today is July 4th, the day Americans celebrate their independence. All streets and houses are decorated with flags, banners and lights. Since it is summer and it is a holiday nationwide , the typical celebration includes a family barbecue - usually hot dogs and hamburgers-, drinks - beer and lemonade-, ice cream ( or popsicles), and lots of fireworks at the end of the day - people take their chairs or blankets and sit on streets or parks to watch the displays. In reference to the holiday and using words of the National Anthem, it is common to hear/read , specially today, that America is the land of the free because of the brave. Nice, right? Happy 4th of July!! 🇱🇷
