U.S. Embassy Nassau congratulates U.S. State Department alumnus Travis L. Robinson who at 22 years old was elected to parliament in The Bahamas’ general election on May 10, 2017.
In July 2016, Mr. Robinson represented The Bahamas and participated in the U.S. State Department sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) exchange “U.S. Elections: A Project for Young Political Leaders” where he had an opportunity to observe the social, cultural and political environment in the U.S. during a Presidential election season and the civic and political engagement of young people in the United States.
