The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation is one of the most respected charitable organizations in the Bahamas. This privately funded charity raises funds primarily through donations and from the Annual Heart Ball, held each February. Through the lasting funding of Lady Sassoon, almost all of the overhead costs of the Foundation are donated. So benefactors can rest assured that their donat
ions are going to assist our young patients. Over 97% of each dollar raised goes directly to the aid of the children. The Bahamas Heart Association is the educational arm of The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bah) Heart Foundation that is focused on living a healthy heart lifestyle. The Association advises the public through all available media on aspects of heart disease, risk factors and preventive care. We also provide speakers and educational materials for schools, youth groups, service clubs, churches and other public meetings. The Heart Ball Committee (HBC) is the fundraising arm of The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation. They host two major events annually: the Annual Heart Ball and the Annual Tea Party & Fashion Show. Individuals and corporations are welcomed to sponsor fundraising events, host events, make monetary and gift donations and assist in other ways. It is the hope of the Heart Ball Committee that they can aid the Heart Foundation in repairing the hearts of many more persons.
